Even some of the cute stuff had underlying tones of GAFfer-on-NPCcharacterinAnimalCrossing attraction, but yeah, I can definitely tolerate that. This IS the Internet after all, I'm sure everyone is used to those types of shenanigans by now. The more explicit posts though...

I know for some of that... it was more user-to-user things and less about the avatar and I think the context there wasn't apparent to everyone.

But that's enough of that. If we're gonna crash Japan's OT till the US OT is up, let's keep it focused on that and let the past be the past. :)

We ARE totally crashing Japan-GAF's AC OT, aren't we? I'm sure they are okay with it though, as most of them are probably already burned out on the game.

I hope the US/EU AC thread is active for several years

in due time it's just going to be me and you and philia and robin and sats, all reminiscing on our empire of emptiness, wondering where the glory days have gone.

It's disheartening to hear people being burned out on a game that I haven't even got my hands on yet, but I guess that's reality.

I just got done revising my 6/9 plans (6/9 is actually really busy for me) to hit K-Mart. This cements my physical copy decision, plus I have a gift copy for my niece and a copy to buy for my daughter who is saving up for it.

Some people burn out on it within a month or two. Actually, a lot of people seem to. But then other people can go for a long time. I think the secret is patience and being willing to play for small amounts of time.

Yeah... *chuckles* May as well take our chatting to community. :) At this point, any news I've found I haven't wanted to make a thread for on it's own (like the Canadian meet up deal) but some people might be interested to know that. Maybe Japan-CrossingGAF will also take note that US and EU GAF will be ready for some wheeling and dealing soon. :p

Just realized I don't have much to do next Saturday night. May be a stay in and download New Leaf at midnight kinda night and play and play.....and play. Will it be midnight pacific time? I hope not...

Hello guys. I took a break from the AC craziness lol. I am back to go crazy again. Even though I am hysteric at the moment. Reason being: I got rear ended today when I was driving on the highway. Entirely the other driver's fault. Sigh, my car is sitting in the body shop until Monday. Then I gotta go to the dealership to see how much it's going to cost. I also have to go to the precinct to get a police report. I am so sad that it happened. My first car!! D:

For Whom the Bells Grow is still pretty good.

If anyone doesn't understand it, its a novel from Ernest Hemmingway except the word Grow with Tolls.

Its a good word play on the fact that you get 3 money trees daily for you to shake out bells which is regarded as currency in the AC series. However, the odds of which trees are random, and you still have one tree that has a bee nest that bees will give chase and sting you over the right eye... unless you were quick enough to run inside a house. You'll get commented on the bee stung eye from your neighbors for the day. :3

Secondly, Tom Nook is the main character renown in the series for having you to pay him off for EVERYTHING in this game. Houses, upgrades, sets to buy AND at mercy for those essential beginner steps in the game buying essential tools from him. so in a way, those bells are meant for Tom Nook or is it for you? That's... the shakespearean question of this game. :3

Oooh I like both of these! I think the second one takes the cake though because some people dislike the City Folk references.

Apparently there's an official Nintendo web app as well, but it ain't workin' for either of us. That one is at https://i.nintendo.net/

Note: it's all in Japanese (except the Twitter authorization dialog, since that comes directly from Twitter), but not difficult to figure out.

I'm pretty sure an English version of the official Nintendo one is coming soonish. I think Eguchi mentioned it in an interview recently saying that an English one was coming. I'll try to find it.

Also, to find pictures, check #どうぶつの森 and #AnimalCrossing. The Nintendo site tags all the pics with that.

Hmm. Well, it seems like the Japanese site should work—I was able to authorize it, etc.—but the actual posting failed with "このシールで非対応のソフトの画像です。 (E006)"

Google translate says that means "it is the image of soft non-compliant with this seal," which I suppose would mean it isn't going to work with non-Animal-Crossing or non-Tomodachi pics? Which is kind of crazy when you think about it.

That's what you can do inside the game but even outside it, Nintendo has already started in Japan a service through which you can upload screenshots from the game and upload them to existing social network services like Facebook.

Nintendo plans to implement this service in Europe too, so you can share images you like with others and get communication going with other players.

That was going to be my guess. The site automatically tags the pictures based on the game so I think that's the reasoning.

Seriously, as someone who didn't game in the era of NA getting superior treatment over Europe, it is a bother to see Europe get almost everything earlier and better than in NA. I guess this is how Europeans felt in the 90s all the time, huh? :(
Guess you guys are finally getting your time to shine, at least. Don't really know how to word what I'm trying to say without coming off as extremely bitter! (which I am :( )

(Hell's Bells because you are a slave to the currency, Nook's Crooks because he outsourced his sleazy retail business to Tommy and Timmy, and K.K.'s Matineés because one of the definitions of the word is a time period for people underage to dance at a discotech up until midnight. Since D.J. K.K. now performs at a club, and I'm pretty sure his performances don't go past midnight, it seems fitting)

Ah well... I'm just still extremely mad over NA getting M&L4 a month late. That's the real sting. I'd love to see NoA's reasoning behind delaying every single game or app at least 2 weeks to a month+ behind everyone else.

July 12 in Europe and August 11 in NA. Yup.

Honestly, I guess it's revenge for EU getting Fire Emblem 2 months late, but I'd rather get Fire Emblem in 2014 than wait a month for M&L. I love the series way too much. It just sucks, because July will be a free month for me while school resumes in August, I'll have less time to play the games that everyone else has had for a solid month. Ugh.

And speaking of 3DS games delayed into 2014 just in NA... :(

This game is really gonna kill me. I have so many PS3 and 3DS games I want to get through this month, but I have a strong feeling that all I'll be doing is playing Animal Crossing. :(
