My god! Just saw this episode and it was so awful! How the hell Simpsons is still airing? There is no head or tail in the new episodes anymore, everything happens just because. At least The Curse of the Flying Hellfish had a plot that made sense, there was reason for every character to be in that episode and act they did.

How is the show still airing?

1) It gets better ratings than pretty much any primetime animated series not named Family Guy... and it actually bests Family Guy during football season thanks to the NFL lead-in.
2) There are still 3 or 4 episodes that air every season that qualify as good and where the characterizations are sound. You just happened to watch one of the ones where that wasn't the case.

The only thing I liked was the ending with the Rogers.

Ahaha great ep for Bobs Burgers, really got good with the whole dancing thing. Surprise by how really good animation for Bobs Burgers constantly is, even the after credits scene has good animation.
