Another new NBA Live gameplay video.

Ok, so it's been confirmed that superstar mode is not in this version, but Teamxbox reported that there are no freestyle moves in this game. WTF? that's like the staple of this series. I'm hoping they confused freestyle with superstar because otherwise it would be a very slow and dull experience.

Team Xbox's controls are fucked up, because there are no freestyle OR crossover buttons on it :lol

It would play like Double Dribble!

Maybe they have decided to change the mechanics of the game and stop the West Side Story choreography of slipping and sliding down the court. I welcome that change. Looks great though. EA is ringing in the next generation right.

Oh man, they're definitely missing something there. I finally played Live 2006 at best buy and I was pleasantly surprised with the dunk animations. They're smoother and more varied than 2K6, and the superstar dunks are really cool. 2K6 is definitely more of sim, but I had fun with Live regardless.

For Live on 360 EA has purposely chosen to try to make it a lot more 'simmy' than their current gen versions. Which is one of the reasons they removed the extremely lame superstar functionality (thank God!).

AFAIK, the freestyle stuff is still there, but I read they even toned that down a bit.

Seriously? I can look at this franchise again without distain. That alone bridges the gap between it at 2K6.

From the video, its obviously slower then NBA Live current gen. Thats a very good sign, hopefully they keep moving towards a more "Madden" NBA franchise. You have NBA Street for arcade gameplay EA Canada! UGH!

That shit has me eager to get 360 now... I was and sort of still am on the fence of how Next gen this system is, but these videos and the PGR3 vids are making a strong case... I really like the look...
