I was wondering if anyone can make a good and free anti virus suggestion. Norton and McAfee are way too bloated and slow my rig down...

Some have said AVG and other said Avast...

I've been using AntiVir for about a year now, no complaints.

Avast is great, but it slowned down my computer [p4 1.4ghz 384 mb ram]. It detected like 6+ viruses the symantec virus scanner I had didn't.

I have AVG on my laptop and it's pretty good with updates everyweek or more often. It didn't slowed down my comp.


you should try both for a while and see what fits you
