Any news from Jump Festa?

In Japan it's Jump Festa time (18-19 Dec).
Namco was supposed to unveil a new Tales of game and also Capcom and Square were a sure presence.
Any news from the event?

Megaton announcement from Nintendo on February the 17th
 
The best I could find for JSS is an interview where you can barely see the trailer running behind one of the guys from Nintendo. It's on the website, first click "GO", then just click the TV in the upper left and you can click on various rooms of different developers for interviews. Nintendo's is the bottom right rectangle in the middle room.
 
What's this "coverage" you all seek?

There're never any real "announcements" so to speak in Jump Festivals, just a bunch of videos and playable booths for hype/promo. I guess everyone who usually goes out to handcam said videos and demos are just too busy playing their PSPs this time. No big loss really, I heard there's a new FFXII video with some new and some old footage and no news. Everything else is pretty much as it was in TGS.

Well, there was a Jump Super Stars trailer that many of us were interested in seeing and possibly getting something of that out of it. The best we've got though was just a shot of the trailer running far off in the distance during an interview. You can say that's not newsworthy all you want, but hell even some ever so slight impressions would have been nice.

I can't speak for everyone else completely, but I was looking forward to something on it.

Sorry I didn't mean it wasn't news worthy at all, just that is isn't really a "news" event. That's probably why there's low coverage. I just found JSS impressions after posting that in fact, and translated it in the JSS thread. I'm just explaining why the news flow is so dry, it's a weekend, everyone here that is in Japan got a PSP, Christmas vacations are here/coming up, and Jump Festival isn't really a news event just a marketing push thing.

Edit: And those looking for FFXII info, apparently at the end of the FFXII trailer, it says 2005 Spring. So that locks it for an early 2005 release unless it's delayed again. Oh and no, I don't have any trailers or links to them or I would post. :(

i think nintendo will release some new fire emblem info, perhaps a new video and some more gameplay info.

btw DarthWufei, i've recently started watching that show and man, what a show! i watched the 33 eps out so far in just a few days :lol

Awesome! I'm glad you're loving it, it's an awesome anime that sadly gets passed up by many for one reason or another. Feel free to post about it in the Monster thread somewhere in the off topic forum. We could use more discussion. :P

Read the manga, finished the manga, was awesome and all, anime started, deja vu, stopped watching. :D

:lol Understandable, I've heard that's the case with many people who read the manga first. That can be a good thing though, honestly. I'd read the manga if I had a way to get my hands on it, but I'm perfectly happy with the anime at the moment really.

Same trailer as the TGS one? That said 2005 Spring at the end also...
 
There was some JSS info ( see a few posts up) , Fire Emblem info, Another (DS) info as well as Eye Sheild 21.

If anyone want to translate the news, it is at nintendo-inside.jp
 
I'm just eager to find out what platform Melfes is for, along with who's the character designer.

Oh, wasn't Sega supposed to announce a new game or two during this?

Man, I REEEALLY hope it's a new trailer. FFXII media has become so scarce I've gotta wonder what Square's doing to the game...

It's definitely a new trailer, just not with 100% new footage. There's stuff from the E3 trailer, the E3 demo, the TGS trailer and of course original stuff. The problem now is no one is putting the damn trailer up online. Grrrr. And yeah since it still says 2005 SPRING, here's to hoping for an April release. :)

There was a trailer, not sure if its new (it would help if people actually captured and uploaded these trailers instead of playing their PSPs!!!! GRRRRRR :)) but KH2 was also PLAYABLE at the Festival. Which is more than we can say for FFXII. ;_;

I was under the impression that 'Project Melfes' was for the PSP. Has that been retracted? Is it uncertain which platorm it's going to be on?
