I'm going to be shooting a few short films with some friends soon, and I'd like to get some nice info about filming.

Stuff like framing shots and things of such.

Anyone know if there's a good source for this knowledge on the net?

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
I have no idea about such resources on the net, but the book The Five C's of Cinematography is really really good, despite being a bit old.

Film is a little more lenient than television in that framing can be done for the sake of art, rather than the sake of getting everything in the shot.

My advice is to take the camera and go with it. Be creative with your work and don't be afraid to re-shoot and re-shoot and re-shoot.

Just have fun, s'all.

I'm planning on shooting over and over.

We're going to be working on two 5 minute films.

I want to get nice shots that really aid with the suspense that I'm trying to portray in these films.

make sure to have the lighting and everything perfect before the cum shot, its a pain to have to reshoot one of those.
