I just replayed Seaman on my DC today after years of letting it sit on my shelf. Any word on a sequel? Wouldn't this be perfect for the Revolution?

I think if Sega were to make a new SeaMan, it should be for the DS. It makes the most sense with the microphone already built in and im sure they could find a use for the stylus. What to put on the Second screen though might be hard.

I dunno though i never really liked SeaMan, fun for a little while but forgetting about the game for two weeks and coming back to it only to find out all your fish are dead = total buzz killer.

It really would be perfect for DS. It should be portable. Especially considering you have to take care of it to keep it alive. You can take it on a trip to make sure the seaman survives. Also, the DS has an internal clock. It has so much audio though. It'd require a mighty big cart. The DC version was around 500MB, and most of that was audio. No FMV to cut out. All stuff needed for gameplay.

There's better audio compression technologies now. I suppose the DS might not be powerful enough to take advantage of them though.

There were some new features to the PS2 version that made me interested in the game...I still remember my favorite Seaman moment:

I raised the fish and as usual, he was pretty rude, though never vulgar. My grandmother came over and I showed her the game only to have Mr. Seaman speak his very first curseword to her...I can't remember exactly how it happened but she was trying to say hello to it and it called her an asshole :O
