dont be - people can sense that - they dont like losers

not as badly as you. :x

but i can see that my hair is thinning in front when i get out of the shower. i probably ought to make with the rogaine before it gets desperate. i'd look terrible bald.

at a wedding a few months ago i saw a friend i hadn't seen in years. he used to be quietly good-looking in a sort of edward norton manner, and it was amazing how often he'd leave parties with hot girls. now he's gone bald and it's unbelievable how sleazy he looks. sleazy and old. i doubt girls so much as notice him. baldness sucks.

I have receding hairline but its barely noticeable.

:lol I did a google search for receding hairline and this is what I got:

Looks familiar.

Yo. Male pattern baldness sufferer here. Well, I don't really give a shit, so I guess I'm not suffering so much, eh?

Yep, started losing it when I was 20.

Just thinning on top, I did Rogaine and it didn't do anything but give me terrible dandruff. It hasn't gotten markedly worse over time, but it sure as heck ain't getting any better. I don't like it, but I attracted my first long-term girlfriend last year, she didn't seem to mind.

Pubes go gray?? :o Thank God my body doesn't really grow hair then.

Yeah I was saddened to see em. I've also got a few gray nostril hairs, so I pull them out. DOWN WITH AGING!

My hairline is receding ever so slightly on the left side, but usually my hair's long/thick enough that it's covered up.

I am slowly and have been since I was 17 kinda sucks but at the same time I don't really care. I am intrested in Rogaine however if it works. Anyone here tried it?

God he is sexy.

Anyways I'm one hairy effer. My great grandmother has a head full of hair and she's 90, and my mom has breast cancer and went through kemo and still kept a full head of hair. I have nothing to worry about ever.

After my chemo treatments, my hair just didn't grow back as thick. I didn't realize it was that bad until someone took a picture of me at an agle to where I could the top of my head and I was shocked. Since then I've just been getting it buzzed with a #2 setting on the shears. I don't really like the shaved look, so I keep a little hair on top.

EDIT: ^^^^^^^^ Yeah, my hair looks like that dude's.

Eat flaxseed. I was losing a lot of hair when i'd shower (though i'm not balding, i'd just lose hair but it's not noticable) and since I added flaxseed to my diet i noticed that i barely even lose a single hair when i shower now. It's a pretty big difference. Not sure if there's anything scientific about that, i just know that for me it worked.

On a somewhat related note, i'm 25 and i have a few gray hairs. Nothing to panic over but after carefully looking through my hair, i plucked out 8-10 of them.

P.s Brocke, I remember a thread you did a few days ago and people suggested that you shave your hair. Imho, it looks WAY better that way.

Propecia works (for most men), I highly recommend it to anyone who is starting to go bald. The only real downside is that it ain't cheap and your insurance is not going to cover it. But you have to start it ASAP. It doesn't really grow back hair that you've lost, it mostly just stops you from losing what you have.

Have you consulted a doctor about it? There may be drugs that can help and baldness itself could be a symptom of something else too, its worth looking at.

Will it work magic on this dude's receeding temples or just his crown because I'd wager he still has most of his hair back there.

There's never a bad time to have bloodwork done since they'll check for a lot of shit at once. Even if you aren't considering getting drugs, this isn't a bad idea.

Underproductive thyroid possibly. If low levels of thyroxine go untreated, your mental state can be in trouble among other things. But you most likely just have male pattern baldness :).

I'm pretty sure that in their research, Propecia was especially effective on the crowns of men's heads. In my case in particular, it also seems to have completely stopped the hair loss that was happening on my temples/forehead as well.

Oh God! Your name is "suave eric"! I always read it like some dumb fantasy name.

I have that extremely slow life long hair loss thing going on that apparently no drug on the market is able to do anything about...

on the bright side, i'm 30 and i still have almost all of my hair.
