Anyone ever broken a hotel TV?

I had to last night. They had that black plastic piece on the back that was blocking me from connecting my PS2 (or anything through its RF outlet). I was just trying to break the plastic piece off, then unscrew it, but I ripped the entire thing out.

I'm here for a couple more days on business. Might have to go to RadioShack tomorrow for some soldering tools. Or just make up some BS to change rooms.

Yikes!

Actually, does anybody know where to buy those black plastic pieces that act as security devices to keep you from accessing the RF port. If I buy a new one and put it on there, they won't be able to tell I was fucking with it.

Smells faintly of rancid stilton.
the thread title reminded me of this quote

Nick Schaffer: Wait - what's this $150?
Employee: Oh, those are your in-room movies.
Nick Schaffer: Oh, I didn't watch any movies.
Employee: Let's see..."Afro Whores".
Nick Schaffer: "Afro Whores"?
Employee: It says you watched it... 11 times.
Nick Schaffer: No, I didn't watch that.
Employee: 2:00 "Afro Whores", 3:30 "Afro Whores", 5:00 "Afro Whores"... It says in the morning you watched "The Grinch" for ten minutes, then switched back to "Afro Whores".
Nick Schaffer: Look, I was at a bachelor party last night, there were like 35 people there, you can ask any of them... you have to take that off my record.
Employee: This isn't a record, sir.

Well, technically it's a promotional tour for DP, but it's all the same.

Our power just went out here tonight too, so we have no electricity in the room, so the hotel is already gonna be comping rooms tomorrow. Hopefully they can comp whatever needs to be done on the TV. I went to RadioShack and they didn't have the tools I needed to fix it, so I'm gonna have to make some shit up in the morning. I hate lying, but I don't want them overcharging for some bullshit TV repairs.

The entire reason I had to rip it out in the first place was that they don't even ALLOW you to put in your PS2 b/c they have a contract with Sony for PS1 games that are built into their Pay Per View system.

Maybe they won't even notice.

Who actually looks at the back of a TV, anyways?

Couldn't you just get some super glue and glue the broken plastic back together and stick it on there?

I've knocked off 10 different hotel TV back-sides. The others didn't have any.

I have no idea how you could knock a whole backside of a TV off like that.

If you put it back on with scotch tape and the TV still works, they won't check. Or notice for that matter.
