Anyone get their Dragon Quest 7 orders pushed back ort cancelled?

Ordered DQ7 back on 1/5 on Amazon. Up until yesterday it was to be delivered today. Then last night I checks and it said it would now arrive on 2/16. WTF? If you look now it says 2/26.

In any case, my local Target said they had two available. So I ordered for pickup today. Those often get cancelled since in the morning when the pull the orders, the counts are either wrong or they don't realize it is a new item and cannot find them.

So, I'm putting my conspiracy hat on. It seems that a lot of publishers delay physical copies for weeks if not months (or not at all) and I feel that they are banking on the fans who want said game, to buy digitally and then get it later physically. Double-dipping.

I can see Nintendo delaying the copies to Amazon in order to have those die hard fans double-dipping.

And they wonder why they push the narrative that physical is dying. It's because physical games are rarely available. Stores don't carry Xbox physical games and most games for Switch 2 are key-cards and many don't want those. They are pushing everyone towards digital so they can cut out the stores and suppliers. They get bigger portion of the profit.

Did I make this thread in my sleep? lol Well I also have been noticing how difficult it seems to order a physical copy of this game anywhere also. Can't even get store pickup for Best Buy which is unusual. However I also was able to place an order for store pick up from target so I'm hoping to see it come through.

I've done that, ordered the digital while waiting for the physical to ship.

...alcohol is almost always involved

at least dq7 has a demo you could play instead

I don't trust amazon anymore. I ordered a few electronic things just to get empty boxes and sometimes they figure out the boxes are empty and return them mid shipment. just low lifes stealing shit all over.

That still exists? Why would anyone do GamePass or PS+ Extra over that where you can literally pick any game on any system, not just what MS or Sony has available?

What's the price?

Starts at $12 a month and goes up depending on the number of games and the perks included.

Well Target came through for me. I was so torn on if I should get the switch 1 or 2 version cuz of game key card shit, but I figured I can get the on cart switch 1 version when the price goes down.

Because half of the month is spent in the mail and not actually having a game to play.

Mine was delayed by a day it should have been delivered yesterday but sat all day in amazons local delivery depot not moving waiting to be delivered. It ended up coming this early evening. Mine was from amazon uk though no idea if the usa amazon has been doing similar.

They're not going to pull the double-dipping scam unless it's weeks or months between the digital and physical drops. Sounds like they underestimated demand and/or shipment counts for some areas/stores
