Sanyo 24 inch Flat Screen

I know its probably not the greatest TV but I saw this TV at Walmart today and it doesnt look half bad considering the price. Its 24 inches has Component Video, S-Video, Av out, Flat Screen, etc... and its only $188. Its no HD tv obviously but seems way better then my crappy 10 year old tv that I use for games now. Anyone hear anything about this tv or Sanyos in general? Good at all or a total piece of crap that is bound to break a month after i buy it?

Barely applicable, but until it got zapped in an electrical fluke within the last month, my old pre-S-Video 27" Sanyo was great. Colors were right, image was centered and didn't cut things off... nothing exactly fancy, but it did what it was supposed to well and had been doing so for at least a dozen years.

I think I read in last year's Consumer Reports that they were really high up there on quality (although I always thought of their TV's being budget TV's)

I'm watching my buddy play Halo 2 on his new 30" Widescreen Sanyo HDTV from Walmart, got it for $650. It's an amazing value. It supports 720p (in 1080i), and even has a tuner. If you're on a budget, I'd highly recomend it.

I have the 20 inch version of this in my dorm room and it has been great for me (and cheap). The only complaint I have is I don't really like the remote very much, although this might be because I am so used to the remote for the Panasonic Tau that I have at my parents house.

If you buy this TV let me know it is. My friend's HDTV is making my ancient 20" non-svideo TV interolerable. I have too much debt to get an HDTV myself, so I'm looking for a temporary solution.
