Anyone have experience with Aneurisms?

I’m having sporadic dizzy spells and constant headaches so my doctor ordered an MRI and MRA. MRI was clear but the MRA showed a tiny brain aneurism. Apparently it’s too small to be causing my issues and the neurosurgeon says I shouldn’t lose sleep over it but it’s a damn aneurism. The risk of rupture is low, but it’s not zero and the uncertainty is all I can think about. It doesn’t help that we had a family friend in her 50’s die from one just a few weeks before finding out about mine.

Anyone else living with one?

My mom just turned 60 and had an acute one similar to yours it sounds. They had her on meds for a while after performing multiple angiograms and said it was more risky to go in attempting a "fix" than it would be to just leave it.
That was maybe 3 months ago or so now. They kept her at the hospital for 10 days and an additional few days a couple weeks later when she felt some dizzying symptoms and went back. She seems to be back to her normal self but it was very scary for her and the family at the time though since there were many unknowns.
Like you she felt a severe headache before she went in for the initial hospital visit upon which they discovered a brain bleed. The doctors said she looked better than most people that come in with her condition so that was reassuring but aneurisms are no joke.

Were you prescribed any medication? Blood thinners, or something that will lower the chance of a rupture even more than what you describe?\

I had a brain hemorrhage, similar to an aneurysm. Luckily, I had it while I was at the hospital being treated for a related symptom.

There’s no bleed or anything. It’s an unruptured aneurism which are apparently not uncommon and usually discovered by mistake on MRI/MRAs. There are millions of people unknowingly walking around with aneurisms that might never rupture.
They say the best thing to do to reduce chance of rupture is keep blood pressure in check. I’m hypertensive so I have to get that shit squared away. Beyond my blood pressure meds, no additional medication needed for the aneurism. They want to do a follow up MRA a year from now to see if it’s growing.

shouldn't have to worry about it until you are significantly older, then it'll prolly burst one day while you are in the holodeck

you won't even know it, honestly it's almost a strange blessing in a way
