Yeah, I have the 512MB version. It's working out well for me thus far. I especially like the belt clip it comes with, but it also has an armband. And egad, you don't have to shill out extra money for either. The audio quality is quite good. The FM radio strength leaves something to be desired, but it's there. It's light and if the battery ever runs out while you're on the go, all you've got to do is throw another AAA in it. Great thing is you don't have to keep up with a USB cable as you just plug it directly into the port, making it useful if you plan on using it with multiple computers. It doesn't require any software to be installed on your PC. You plug it in, and any Windows 2000 or newer machine will see it as a flash drive, then you just throw your MP3s on it. To split songs into albums, just dump them in specific folders. Easy as that. As others have said, the battery life isn't phenomenal, but it'll last for any decent-length trip.
