I use Moldex Spark Plug Ear Plugs every day at work. Never have an issue with my hearing; We get tested yearly as well.

I suffer with tinnitus and hyperacusis so have musicians earplugs for the cinema and anything else like a concert. Have used several different brands, and they're all much of a muchness to me. Just get ones that review well and you're good to go.

Wouldn't wearing ear plugs get rid of the majority of frequencies that you would usually? Causing a muffled sound?

Normal ear plugs, yeah, that's the whole point of high fidelity earplugs, it's supposed to just lower the dB without causing the muffle

And yeah, I use a set of Eargasm ones.

I'm amazed certain earplugs can provide the same quality sound as an unplugged ear.

I always use these, they're perfect. A bit expensive but a must-have.

It's not 1:1 to be honest, but it's a pretty minimal difference (and for me personally, worth the tradeoff of not having ringing ears)

Wish I would’ve had something like that back in the day. Nobody warned me how loud a concert indoors can be (especially if your standing off to the sides where the speaker fortresses are built). My Ears rang for 4-5 days. Wasn’t even a good show
