Anyone use the Flex seal products?

Depends on what you're using it for.

I tried flex seal to try and fix a leak in my basement coming from the pipes going into the water heater. It didn't work out well. The flex seal helped, but didn't completely block the leak. I ended up having to call a plumber.

So you're saying it probably will not turn a screen door into a fiberglass boat hull?????

Damn, preorder cancelled!

Haven't used flex seal but I'm a big fan of the slapchop. You're going to be in a great mood all day, because you're going be slapping your troubles away with the Slap Chop.
I actually like the Slap Chop, even if using it is loud as hell.

Flex Seal is garbage. Don't bother with it.

Flex seal is gimmicky shit. Use actual construction glue and silicone caulking as needed and fix things permanently rather than applying an expensive bandage that ain’t gonna last

i just bought a pack for the first time last weekend.

my hose had a gnarly gash in it.

i put on 1 strip ( its essentially rubber with a strong adhesive) and the adhesive actually stayed strong, unfortunately the pressure of the water burst immediately through the thickness of the rubber.

so i went back and used the rest of the pack and just kept wrapping the hole, gave it 3 or 4 layers or something. this time around the thickness of the rubber contained the water pressure! yay! but the water pressure decided to bust through the adhesive portions now.....

i will admit, my wrap job wasn't perfect, nor did i leave the newly placed adhesive patches for 24 hours before turning on the hose, which is recommended in certain cases on the package, but still, my problem exists anyways...

i would give it 2 out of 5 stars. im sure it works great for a lot of applications ( wrapping a hose was one of them i thought), but it failed for me mostly due to user error most likely, but unsure....

I guy at work swears he sprayed his leaky canoe with it and uses it at camp all the time. I'm not kayaking the local river on a screen door anytime soon though.

Used it at work as a joke and it worked out in the end. The spray can stuff is kind of neat.

Patched a metal tin roof where the rubber/tar had dried up and crumbled away at some of the joints/overlap. Also around some conduit where an A/C unit was.

This was a couple months ago and it's still holding up.
