Curious if the perpetrators fall under diplomatic immunity.

I was generally under the impression that it's not like the movies and is more meant for things like speeding etc. but the way the cops were simply pushing them back instead of arresting them makes me wonder.

This isn't the first time this happened. Those goons are hitting people pretty much everywhere they go. The same happened (last year?) un Chile of all places.

This fucking goon has a sidearm too. These are all government representatives from Turkey out there beating up US citizens outside on Embassy Row. Watch the video, the cop hits this guy in the back with his baton and he turns around ready to fight. You can see several cops get assaulted too by these guys in the melee, all they have to do is walk right back inside the gates and they're on Turkish soil and not responsible for shit.

Every one of those fuckers needs to be expelled from the country and banned from ever returning - attacking US citizens is unforgivable. They probably have diplomatic immunity and can't be prosecuted, so kick'em out.

Nine people were hurt and two arrests were made during an altercation at the Turkish ambassador’s residence in the US capital during a visit by prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Washington.

Doug Buchanan, a DC Fire and EMS spokesman, said two of those hurt were seriously injured and were taken to hospitals by ambulance. He said by phone that emergency personnel were called to the residence about 4:30pm Tuesday.

According to witnesses, the brawl erupted when the Turkish president’s security detail attacked protesters carrying the flag of the Kurdish PYD party outside the residence.
