Same here, though no smart cover yet. I don't really like any of the polyurethane colors with the black iPad...the navy blue leather is the only one I really care for I think. I'll have to see them in person before I buy anything.
Maybe the light grey...I'd go with something more colorful but the blue and green just look weird with black.
edit: I think I need to go with Navy Blue or Black Leather. They look a lot nicer, at least in videos.

Elaborate? I'm fairly certain you don't mean dirt, since the white is glass on the iPad. The don't get dirty. My white iPhone 4 was just as white as when it was new when I sold it.

Why do people bring up scratches on the black model so much?
I have had my black iPhone 5 for a month now and it doesn't have a single scratch. I walk around with it in my pocket, have it on the car seat and it fell down from the car seat once as well. But when I put it down on something I also do it with the screen facing the table.

Because Apple screwed the initial production up? A friend got one from the first batch and she got two scratches and a dent. Now she has to wait 6 weeks for a replacement from Apple.

My black iPhone 5 had scuffs out of the box, so I was hesitant to get the black mini. In the end I bought it just because the white was on 2 weeks. If there is a hint of a scratch out of the box then it is going straight back for a white one.

I also noticed they don't have tax in the total. What's up with that? Are they not going to charge tax?
