Man this will be a fascinating month. We should be sure pretty shortly whether Donald has any chance of getting the delegates he needs, which is going to make for political theater unlike anything I've seen since I turned voting age. Fingers crossed!

Democratic Primary season is over so not really interesting anymore by comparison, but I'll take that over the alternative.

He only needs to lose two states for that to happen. Wisconsin today should be the first.

Should be! And it came right after his [most] disastrous week, so even better odds now. I'm hyped as hell for when that realization comes to the establishment that there's no turning back from that. This is going to be the superbowl for political junkies.

Had to log in just to say how much the OP crushed it. Top-notch.

Didn't know Wisconsin had so many delegates.

And great op, I had no idea what was going on on the xcx ones

Great OP! Here's hoping Bernie can crush Clinton's forces with a SUPREME VICTORY like the last few states.

(Wrong game, I know, but Killer Instinct rules)

Crossing fingers for major upsets and Trump and Hillary winning.
Not that worried about Hillary even if she does lose here. She's got it on lock. Worried about Trump though. He needs an upset somewhere.

Why do you want Trump to win?

I believe the lead-up time and the debate will change a lot of minds, yes.

Can't believe anyone still thinks debates have mattered. The only debate that had any kind of significance was Rubio's robot moment. Other than that, it has meant nothing in the polling and results.

Hmm I disagree. Hillary has typically done better or in the very least on par at debates with Bernie and no amount of lead up time trumps being a senator for 8 years imo. Can't see her do anything but win with huge margins there, ultimately we'll find out soon enough.

The last poll had her spread only 10 points, so if she doesn't crush Sanders in NY, it'll be interesting

When do results come in for Wisconsin?

4h from now.

WI boi here, first-time voting, but anxiously awaiting a copy of my lease from my landlord, who didn't seem to understand I'd need it TODAY as proof of residence so I can actually register

As soon as it arrives I'm running my ass off in the rain to THIS place for the polling

s250-c-k-no

...gulp

Edit ITS HERE. Oh a bunch of flyers should prob read about these local candidates

Still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that the networks are basically dedicating 8 or more hours of coverage to a single state contest, in April, that doesn't even have that many delegates relative to many others.

I really hope this is not the start of something new because the last thing we need is more drawn out political processes and polarization.

Is it possible we're looking at an end to the Dem primary before month is over? Hillary is polling strong in NY, PA, and Maryland. I can't imagine even winning CA would even matter if Clinton wins by 20 pt margins in NY and PA (which together almost match CA in delegates).

Doesn't matter, Sanders will just talk about winning California and super delegates changing their minds until June.

Why are you surprised? The major news networks have been one-story beasts for awhile now.

I'm gonna guess it is Sanders:53 Clinton:47 in Wi going off recent polls. I'd be surprised if it's any sort of blowout. Sanders doesn't have the caucus advantage here and WI has a slightly higher AA population, both of which bode better for Clinton.

Cruz is going to do well in WI, beating Trump by 5% I think.

84% of voters were white.

Yep I think Sanders will definitely win WI, but not by the margins he needs. Still, voter turnout is very strong here today which is a good sign for Democrats overall.

Cruz is almost assuredly going to beat Trump and force a contested convention. Fascinating.

It's done. I've cast my ballet shoes. Hope I helped make America great again

NO

Also what kind of voting base do you think women who wear yoga pants are. Because whoever they're behind is gonna win here for sure.

I have a feeling this going to be the month Bernie Sanders fans come up with new math never before seen. Watch your backs CNN.

Expecting Sanders to win tonight before getting wrecked in Hillary's home state on the 19th and most of the states on the 26th.

No, this is the month where the game plan involves winning California by 100 points.

The new branch of mathematics was created after the 15th. The 26th is going to be just as fun.

I am going with a five point loss for Hillary. I know polls are never wrong but im going with my gut. She's going to do better than the polls.

Great OP, dramatis.

Let's everyone try to remember that there are human beings on the other side of the keyboard, and reign in our inner assholes.

This OP was absolutely fantastic

Disheartening to see the issue many people have with the strict voter ID laws. Really awful

Why do Wisconsin polls close so late?
8pm local is late? East coast people are weird.

Our state generally bend over backwards to make voting as easy as possible. Okay, bent* over. Walker changes and all. Some matters of convenience remain, such as generous hours, early voting, no-questions-asked absentee, same day registration, etc. Voter ID is super souring here because it's in stark contrast to all the other rules.
