What the fuck were the fans expecting? They're showing up to an ECW reunion in 2012. It's amazing that these guys can even walk.
He was expecting to launch a brand? LOL!I guarantee they won't sell 2100 tickets for the next show. Shane Douglas's hopes of "launching a brand" may die with this flop.
He was expecting to launch a brand? LOL!
nostalgia? Hope for a repeat of previous success? Who doesn't want the wwe to get some actual competition? Why do people keep giving Shane Douglas attention?
And money?
When I met Shane Douglas at Wrestlereunion he was selling this Extreme Reunion show as if he were re-launching the ECW brand, bringing back all the old stars and mixing it with newer indie stars. He said they planned on hitting all of the old ECW buildings, even into Florida.
After seeing him "invade" RAW, it seems clear he's lost it.When I met Shane Douglas at Wrestlereunion he was selling this Extreme Reunion show as if he were re-launching the ECW brand, bringing back all the old stars and mixing it with newer indie stars. Does he know how old these people he's booking are?
I assume that's why he wanted to bring new stars into the mix, to eventually not have to rely on the ECW talent.
@BookItGabe said:Can we call tonight finally the end of ECW reunion shows & can the 2000+ that bought tix support a promotion that is setting the future?
Wrestling, like anything else, can't move forward while everyone is trying to recapture the past. To the 2000+ at #ExtremeReunion the...
...spirit, guts, talent, innovation & passion that made #ECW special is alive & thriving in several promotions. Find it. #ExtremeReunion

Btw, how does an ECW reunion show outdraw Lockdown that has national weekly tv building it up? Whoever does the marketing for TNA is shit.
Oh shit, I think they are doing Hogan vs Flair match at Slammiversary.
Seriously?
Yeah man, they are gonna start the build for it on the next Impact(tapes Monday). I can't believe I'm gonna be front row for this.
Is that negative hype, or positive?Yeah man, they are gonna start the build for it on the next Impact(tapes Monday). I can't believe I'm gonna be front row for this. I'm gonna be getting Roode vs Stinger too.
Seriously. After Hogan/Flair, and ECW. I don't want to hear anything negative about Kane in 2012. He's a young up comer compared to this shit.In 2012.™

it isn't guaranteed instant awesome. it's awesome when done well but it doesn't sound like the reunion show was worth a shit.Hardcore wrestling is awesome though. Barbed wire, flaming tables, light tubes, and mature storylines. Sapolsky is wrong. No other company is offering this on a national level.
Hogan needs the money too. His wife, son and lawyers took him for a lot.it's funny, and sad, because it's true.
i feel sorry for Flair. he needs the money... it's not that it isn't his fault for constantly getting married all the time... but the guy should be secure already with the money that's passed through his bank account. it's kind of tragic that that happened.
Hogan is just there for the limelight.
I'm going to assume that you're being sarcastic.Hardcore wrestling is awesome though. Barbed wire, flaming tables, light tubes, and mature storylines. Sapolsky is wrong. No other company is offering this on a national level.
he needs the money too, but that's a nice bonus i think. when has he ever been out of the limelight? i don't think he's in the same situation Flair is. Flair practically lost everything.Hogan needs the money too. His wife, son and lawyers took him for a lot.
Yeah, it's just sad to see this for both.he needs the money too, but that's a nice bonus i think. when has he ever been out of the limelight? i don't think he's in the same situation Flair is. Flair practically lost everything.
Hogan wants to keep living the same lifestyle and to keep his face on TV.
Yeah, it's just sad to see this for both.
Hogan/Flair is gonna be great to see live on the off chance of a huge botch or death in the ring. It definitely won't be because of a compelling story or good match.
Damn, you really don't like Hogan, lol.i don't feel bad for Hogan. he's always been terrible. maybe not in Japan when he was Ichiban. mayyyyyybe. now he's a shadow of his former terrible self, it's just embarrassing.
not for him, because it's nothing new for him to be an embarrassment and i'm sure he's used to it by now, but i'm embarrassed for everyone still giving him money.
like his penis (judging from the leaked sex tape), his career came crashing down, and it hurts inside i'm sure.
i was holding back a bit.Damn, you really don't like Hogan, lol.
Who's the resident Hogan mark in here again? Liquid, is it (or am I wrong here?)? He should see this, lol.

Hey, it's gonna be awesome to see Hogan vs Flair possibly for the last time live. I thought when WCW closed in 2001 I was never going to get to see this and here we are in 2012 and I'm gonna get to see these guys live. I could try to start a fuck you Hogan chant, but mostly I'll try to be respectful to the wrestlers. I'm gonna save my fuck you chant for Garrett Bischoff. He doesn't deserve any respect. Fuck that guy.
