I'm gonna shoot now.
Emma has that comedy mainstream appeal (these segments obviously rate well among some demographic), she has great in-ring skill, she's also very young.
It's actually kind of smart. The demographic that loves her for NXT may hate the segment, but will get behing her in the ring and the demographic that doesn't care about NXT probably enjoyed the Pink Cobra. So she's good. The divas division is getting better, she's paying her dues, doing as she is told, this time next year, she'll be free from Santino and getting her mix of comedy and actual good wrestling in matches that matter.
And she'll still be young, funny and talented.
So cynics be damned, Emma will be the face of this company. Do you remember a guy who in 2012 was in a comedy tag team? Yeah, that was Kane, now he has a match at Extreme Rules against the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan.
