Just a little bit ago, BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe revealed on his radio show that Arcade Fire are planning to release two unreleased songs, "Speaking in Tongues" and Culture War", as part of a deluxe edition of The Suburbs that'll be released on June 27. The re-release will come with a DVD of the band's Spike Jonze-directed short film Scenes From the Suburbs, as well as a making-of documentary, echoing comments made in our recent interview with band member Will Butler (head here to read the interview). According to Lowe, both songs will be played on Radio 1 on May 23.

I only got Suburbs digitally originally, so I'm glad this rerelease is coming. I'll snag it on vinyl with that DVD.

This album hits me right in the heart now. I'm in a very different place in my life than six years ago, so this album very much strikes a chord now.

It's a masterpiece.
