To those talking smack about the UK, isn't this project privately funded? As in, no gov't monies involved.

I think people wouldn't mind the government giving those guys money to NOT build it

It looks shit but it's privately funded so whatever. I think it's good in the sense that it's so bad that it's actually "something"...if that makes any sense...London could do with some more arty stuff IMO. If it was Govt money I'd be pissed but it's not so yeah...

Anyways, once the Shard is completed London will really have a new, "cool" looking new tall building bang in the City Centre and that's something to look forwards to.
