Came out a few months ago, has some new tracks but Monkeys stuff is better
Worse than am isn't much of a slur to me as they're pretty much my favorite band ;p and I adore Alex voice so getting any new track for him is always a treat. I always enjoyed rhe more "orchestral" stuff from LSP.

I meant "good" tracks but yeah lsp stuff isn't bad, there's stuff I like on there. Bad habits is a dope song tho

"R U Mine"', "Do I Want to Know", and "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High" and "Arabella" still slay! Hope they come out with a new album soon.

AM is alright, but to be honest I am starting to get just a bit tired of slicked-back-hair era Alex Turner. I still only really adore the first two albums when they were a bunch of hooligans making music. This whole pompadour phase, including the second TLSP album, have soured Turner on me.

You can't keep doing songs about girls in nightclubs and looking for a chase from the police. They've moved on from that which is a good thing. I'll always be a fan of the old stuff, but they're so much more accomolished as musicians now. Suck it and See is such a good guitar album that gets nowhere near enough praise.

Great album & band, discovered them through Spotify recommendation while listening to Muse a few years back & was instantly hooked.

Didn't even realize it's been three years. I still think it's a solid album, albeit a bit safe. I hope they plan to release a new album next year or so. The new album from The Last Shadow Puppets eases the wait time.
I'm curious; why exactly would you call it "safe"?

I second (and third) this, and truly can't wait to see where they're going next. They are still so young (even as a band) that one can only wonder just how much they still have to give to the world.

Muse is the other band I sort of keep comparing them with. Granted, they sound incredibly different, but I sometimes wish that one had influences on the other. I'd like to see more guitar work from Alex (he doesn't have to become Matt, but I'd love to hear more from him) and would love for the Monkeys to create more melodic-but-bombast sounds (think Follow Me, or even Knights of Cydonia).
