I was under the impression that the current crop of high-end cards didn't really use the full bandwidth of PCI express.
I'm sticking with AGP at least for another two years, and I'd like to hear that the answer is "no," that the current top-end cards really don't use PCI express enough to warrant an upgrade. Is this true?
There may be some theoretical speed advantage, but real-world gaming and 3D app performance is something I don't have proof of yet.
