Are the controls customizeable in Time Splitters 3?

Get the GCN version. Online play on the PS2 is capped at 8-players and 99% of the user created maps are horrible. GCN version is a little smoother with sharper textures. Great game by the way, it's a shame that it recieved such poor sales. I think it is time Free Radical started a new, but similar, series.

Now that I think of it, I'm not 100% sure, but I think that it has roughly 4 controller setups, so I don't think you can customize button layouts.

Xbox version is the best. It's one of my favorite games so far this year in fact. The single player story mode is filled with fun, humor and a lot of great shooting gameplay. Definitely top notch stuff that more people should play.

Basically Xbox > GC > PS2

I completely agree. I had a blast with TS3. I have always games that are written with humor in mind, but not overboard where it gets lame. This is one thing games should have more of. The robot was one of the funniest characters I've ever heard in a game.

Xbox version is better than GCN version.

Er, obviously the XBOX version is best but the original poster only has GC and PS2.

Yes, but your post indicates that smoother textures is better than 8-player online that has "bad user-created maps."

For one, user-created maps is what you make of them. For another, you don't only have to use user-created maps.

Although since online isn't a big thing for him the GC version would be best for his particular needs. Just taking issue with your curious wording.

Eh, I'm just saying, I bought the PS2 version over the Gamecube version because I thought the online play with user created maps would be fun. Now I regret it. There is hardly a community of dedicated players on the PS2, and the user-made maps in general, are poorly designed. That said, I was trying to answer his question and suggest the Gamecube version for his particular tastes. I don't really mean to knock on the game for any system, as I think the game is great, and deserves more recognition.
