Are you buying Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater?

It gets released in 8 days:

I have the digital deluxe edition pre-ordered so I can start playing two days earlier. I'm starting to get very hyped even though I know it won't be that different. I'm trying not to expect too much. I'm worried the gameplay is now too easy. They do offer the classic mode too which is nice.

Probably. But not at launch. September is stacked with too many games I'm interested in so MGSD would immediately go to the backlog.

Not unless it ever goes on sale. I have 100s of games in my backlog, across multiple systems/generations. If it was on switch 2 I would buy it day 1 most likely but these companies aren't that bright it seems.

Also If this was mgs4 I would buy day 1. MGS3 has been redone how many times now..

I plan on it, but I don't think I'm gonna rush to do so. Honestly, that's been kind of the trend I've been having lately. There's a lot of games dropping soon, I just feel like they may drop in price sooner than I think, so I'd rather just wait.

I played through the original, and then Subsistence, several times each. I think I'm good unless reviews are truly stellar and there are some surprises here or something.

My other take is that I think my taste in games has just changed a lot. Frequent cutscenes and all that were really novel and fresh to me at the time and I enjoyed it a lot. I admit I might not be that into the early MGS games anymore if I replayed them today.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. My tolerance for cutscenes and yapping is at an all-time low. I skip most of it these days. Just let me play the game.

Yes. I'm too much of an MGS fanboy not to.

Still annoyed at how phoned in the remake is though.

I will be there day 1, with my baby girl.
I'll come home from work, get her with the stroller and go get my order from the local store.

It starts at $130 in Australia which is ridiculous so I won't be getting it at launch. If it reviews well then I'll get it when it goes on sale.

Nope, i prefer solid over big boss, while gameplay and graphic upgrade look cool, it's not enough for me to get game day one, will wait for sale

Would be day one if they consider remake MGS1

If it runs on the Steam Deck I will. Remasters don't really excite me though. It's just the same game we played but with a new coat of paint.

That being said I haven't played Snake Eater since the 3DS, but that still doesn't seem like that long ago. So I might end up waiting until a sale.

Most likely day 1 for me. I want a good stealth game but I have been playing Hitman WOA again so maybe by the time it comes out I'll be done with that.

Not at launch.
I liked the original but didn't love it, and these more faithful 1:1 remakes never really get me very excited. Hopefully they remake MGS1 next, as that's one I'd be way more interested in.

Also it's UE5, so it will probably look and run like shit on Ps5 (at least in performance mode)

MGS3 doesn't really have long cutscenes that often after the first 2 hours. Its mostly gameplay and mandatory radio calls are rare.

Nope. I am planning to play & finish Master Collection first and since it's a very faithful remake I won't be in any rush to play MGS3 again.
