Usually on, with somewhat scheduled reboots (say, once a week). Theoretically, running Linux, you can clean out just about everything without needing a reboot, but I just can't be bothered.

I used to leave it on and restart every once in a while. But now I shut down before I leave for work and start up after work. But if I'm going out, I leave on.

Shut down PC user.

I shut mine down every night, along with rebooting once or twice a day, depending on how heavy my application and gaming usage is.

Always on.

For a period of a couple of weeks, i was putting my PC into hibernate mode because my room became an oven with it on, but i once got an error and it said the hibernation data was corrupted. So it's been on since then. i really need to check the logs and see what happened, since hibernate's works so well. The time it takes to wake from hibernate with open apps is roughly the same time it takes to load XP normally, open the apps manually, and then reopen the documents in those apps. Not having to do all that was really convenient.

I'm always on. I reboot every few days after some programs start to act all loopy on me. I think Azureus disagrees with a few programs, and Thunderbird also gets stupid sometimes. I've always been an always-on person since I got a computer of my own. My parents turn the house PC on and off all the time, but I like to know I have a minimal wait whenever I want to go online. PEACE.

I leave my computer on for three reasons:

1. I don't like waiting 20 seconds for it to boot
2. I don't pay utilities in my apartment
3. And most importantly, the front power switch is about 6 inches from the wall it's facing in my closet. So I have to bend over through my clothes to turn it on or put a CD in. Yeah, it's a pain, but my room's small enough that I thought it best to throw the computer in the walk-in closet

You can do what I do, power on by keyboard. You can set that in your bios. I have it set so that when I type in a key phrase on my keyboard, my pc will turn on. Although that's pretty rare to be off =)

I always turn mine off now. Before I could leave it on for days, but then I had a bad experience, the fan on the GPU stopped spinning. When I a few minutes later entered the room I felt the smell of burning electronics.. Thankfully I got there in time so the GPU did not burn up, but it was DAMN hot.

Now Im paranoid that one of the fans might give up in the middle of the night. I know P4 processors has that function that keeps it from overheating, Im not so sure about GPUs (GF6800) though, anyone know?
