'In an announcement that will surprise anyone who saw the disaster that was Terminator Genisys, Arnold Schwarzenegger has announced he will be back as the titular character in the sixth instalment in the series.'

'Speaking to Australia’s Channel 9, the Governor of California said when asked about the possibility of him starring in another Terminator film: ”I am looking forward to it, absolutely”.

If this happens, that is. Still...Ugh.

Hadn't seen it, but I thought the new Terminator was actually pretty entertaining? Not "good", but a decent popcorn flick?

Then it's time you watched it and see that it's a fledgling failure of a film that seems more like a parody of the series than an actual sequel worth watching.

In it for Arnold. It will be interesting to see him being a
hybrid
of sorts thanks to how the last film ended. It sure was an enjoyable, jumbled mess.

At least you can talk. Who are you?

You're right, I watched it for the first time on Friday and was expecting to bail out after 20 minutes but ended up watching the whole thing. Not a good film by any measure but passable.

They should do an Indiana Jones/Terminator crossover.

I heard they'll do a classical composer/Expendables crossover. Weird ideas in Hollywood.

Sly Stallone is playing Beethoven, the Rock is gonna be Mozart.

They asked Arnold who he'd want to play. He thought for a moment before saying, "I'll be Bach."

I don't want another Terminator. All the movies after 2 were abysmally terrible. Especially 3 and genysis.

Three is a solid action film compared to 4th and Genisys, in my opinion. It's looked at with a lot of hate, but I watched it again recently, and while I didn't like it much upon release (was really confused if I should have liked it at the time or not, and the conflict kept getting the better of me as I'm a big Terminator fan), it still is a decent film, with good action scenes and a worthwhile ending.

I enjoyed the last one but mostly out of nostalgia. It's not a good movie.

I don't know why with the millions of dollars in Hollywood they just can't get someone to write a good story for this thing. Last movie Arnold spent more time being a scientific genius and explaining time travel then actual terminating. Terminators themselves are still playing off ideas in T2 and almost nothing more. The "twist" last movie was revealed in the trailer and still not good. We don't need cg young Arnold anymore think of something else

I don't know if this is covered in the movies, but if the dude is a robot, why has he turned into an old man? Shouldn't he still look brand new?

Noooo, stop.

The Terminator rights go back to James Cameron in 2019. I don't think he will do anything with them though.

So in the last film
Arnie is a liquid metal Terminator and Skynet is under the rubble still functioning, although what does that matter if it's everywhere.

Terminator is the MGS of films.
It should have ended with the second instalment.

But MGS2 is the worst game in the franchise.

They wrote a contrived time travel reason into the story to explain his advanced age. They should really be recasting by now, it's pointless to keep throwing him out there. Like watching the Undertaker or Sting trying to wrestle in 2016.

I'm on board. I thought the last Terminator was unspectacular but watchable.

Genisys was better then people give it credit for, obviously it wasn't as good as 1 and 2 but it was way better then 3 and we shouldn't even talk about the abomination of Salvation.
Still nothing will beat the Tv series, it was so damn good and its the perfect medium for Terminator as we actually get to see a proper buildup towards skynet. Oh how i wish we could get season 3 of that show, we finally would have seen the actual human v skynet v good skynet war(again Salvation does not count)

Our standards for this franchise have clearly plummeted.

Human tissue still ages is why he looks old. And the model itself has gotten old, since his metal parts haven't been maintained in anyway. Or some crap

Ugh Arnold... just....just drop it, please?

T2 was the peak of action movies, the peak of Terminator movies and the peak of your career. Shoulda left it at that...

But MGS 3 was sooooo good.

MGS3 was a decent game - it has a lot of annoying gameplay quirks tho. More importantly, It was start of the series becoming more about Big Boss and less about Solid Snake. The actual direct sequel to MGS2 - MGS4 was a bad MGS game and it felt unnecessary.
A good creator knows when to stop.
