I just discovered Everybody's Golf servers went online with no reasonable way to play it online now. Top 3 reasons I've ever been depressed and this takes the cake.

If I were king of the world, is required every game to work (MMOs included) by the devs/publishers patching the game so it works with at least a direct connection.

Not dead yet but World Of Warcraft. With every expansion being playable separately so i don't have to play the later ones. And an offline/single player mode where the whole world is filled with advanced AI bots that you can team up and do raids and battlegrounds.

I think i wouldn't need any other game in my life after that.
