Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag patched on Steam to add Achievements

Ubisoft is continuing to go back and patch older Assassin's Creed games, after Syndicate recently got a 60fps patch and resolution boost on consoles the next one up is the popular AC4 Black Flag, for now the Steam version has been patched to add in Achievements and proper banners/artwork in the Steam UI.

Proof that it's retroactive but you'll need to launch the game to get them which means they all appear as very rare:

Eyes should be on the console versions next to see if a patch appears on them soon hopefully giving it the same res boost and 60fps treatment.

Ubi is surely doing some weird move, like they make one consumer-friendly step forward, and then back ten steps to fuck up players. Scramble all over the place.
It really does feel like they've set aside a small dev team to just go through legacy titles and patch them up for current consoles and Steam.

Curious though that Unity was skipped for now? It felt like they were working backwards so jumping from Syndicate to Black Flag is a surprise.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Good shit. I've been playing through Liberation HD, but might move on to this one next.

Credit where it's due, this is cool of Ubi.

I started a 3rd playthrough on the Deck a few months ago, maybe I'll just restart to get some chievos.

Hopefully the achievements don't mirror the console with shit online multiplayer achievements. Cut them out and the rest of the achievements are fine.

You know deep down this pains them, knowing everyone loves the old ones better and they've a car crash on the horizon :messenger_tears_of_joy:
