I played it and beat it twice, the second was Permadeath mode.
I think the game is great, but doesn't have any real replay value.
Worth the $30 or less.
You become OP around 2/3 in and the enemies are a joke but that is part of the fun of AC games.

Same. Thought it was pretty fun for $40, esp if you like the old AC games. I liked Origins well enough but hated the epic sprawl of Odyssey and Valhalla.

I couldn't even get myself motivated to click "download", all the reviews looked terrible to me

If you like pre-Origins AC games you're missing out.

I came back to this recently last few weeks to see if it would click now.

It did. The hype for shadows and the desire for a game like this helped.

One of the best looking and running games on PS5, and it has a super good flow to it.

The lip syncing and dialogue delivery is quite hit and miss so I find a lot of the story to be “meh”, but playing the game has a nice approachable moment to moment loop going for it.

Combat is also satisfying, and the right kind of difficult.
