Assassin's Creed Valhalla : The Siege of Paris releasing on August 12

Nice, I've yet to finish vanilla and druid dlc.

That is if I don't get burned out from it until then lol

Okay that's a pretty epic moment from Viking history, but I didn't like how they butchered Norway and England in the base game. Looked nothing like real life counterparts.

Ah yes, the famous siege where vikings were only trying to help and they surely didn't rape any french chick...

Vikings and ubisoft, name a better comedic duo.

I restarted the game on PS5 and I've yet to get burned out. About 50 hours in on the replay and it honestly is a great game. I can see why some people were put off on the slow pace but getting back into the game after months away I can see what the developers were going for.

"Raiding" a camp solo against enemies well above your level is just fantastic. Glad that the DLC will be launching before I even come close to "beating" the game (I've only reached Lunden in the main story and only visited Ireland once - working on finishing up Valka's quest).

Yeah there's great gameplay systems in place and the world and character design, color palette, lightning etc is just incredible.

It's what keeping me involved. I'm 35-40 hours in

One thing I really. Like is the one on one combat against order mercenaries or unic boss. I would like their next installment to feature more of those. The combat is a huge step up from previous entry and it's best done when one on one, with its heavy and brutal feel.

Damn I'm so hyped for this! I finished the main story last week and I'm in the last third of the Druids DLC. I picked the perfect time to start this game. Horray for the return of black box missions!

Druids felt very much more of the same, I wonder if anything in this DLC will shake up the gameplay at least a little.
From what I've seen there will be a Hitman type of gameplay where you can assassinate a target on various different ways and you gotta figure out the opportunities the game presents you with.

Can't wait!

Ubisoft = French. Those snowflakes (at Ubisoft) share something in common = Self-hate. So they will paint the defenders, the French, as the bad guys.🤷‍♂️

Wowowowow now.

The only way you can call us snowflakes is because we live in a Northern place where winter means -30 degree.

Self-hate, what the fucking hell you talking about. You've ever been to Québec?! Don't compare big companies policies like ubisoft to its inhabitants.

Hey, I'm referring to REEEE citizens around the globe, not normal people like you.

Self-hating like those jornos who are white and hate whites so gave Days Gone bad scores. EA censored "White Man" in BF1 text chat, etc. Hope this clears out the confusion.

It's all good. Québec and Montréal Ubisoft studio do work in partnership with ubi studios around the world including France, they sure need to get every type of people happy for their game because how huge they are.

Old school Ubisoft were not as near as politically correct as they are today. Freedom of speech is something that seems to diminish as soon as popularity grows unfortunately.

I put over 100 hours into the base game and completely burned myself out. There's likely going to be a nice sale on the season's pass by the time I decide to revisit.

Assassin's Creed is always lead by a Canadian Studio, or more precisely a Quebec studio.
I don't expect them to know much of French history as they proved by willingly dumbing down the French revolution already in AC Unity.

UBI Paris did Ghost Recon Wildlands proving Canada doesn't have a monopoly on bad Geopolitics.
But heh, I don't expect most AAA to respect Historical Accuracy to any measure.

Maybe one day. Kingdom Come Deliverance proved it can be done.

The Siege of Paris' Infiltration Missions will surely appeal to fans of classic Assassin's Creed games, but by and large, Valhalla's second DLC feels like more of the same. It's a solid expansion, but far from essential.
