Assetto Corsa EVO Gameplay & Q&A

Honesty that hardware and that game look super fun together. Like my dream as a kid, lol. Very expensive to make it like that though, I'm assuming. What does a steering wheel/pedal setup like that run?

Wish I could just see normal gameplay thats not on these massive rigs. Like show me some chase cam and some menus etc. lol

Really can't wait to finally play this and see how it eventually pans out. Still lots of questions that will hopefully be answered soon. The whole "build your collection" and culture aspect is cool, but what matters most to me is the multiplayer structure. Hopefully they have something that at least rivals iRacing.

He asked about open world in the video above. The AC rep laughed then immediately changed the subject.

So, like every racer career mode before it?
Basically... earning money to unlock new cars is nothing new, and it's certainly not a career mode. I don't get the hype for this progression system. GT7 has it, Forza Motorsport has it, and it's nothing special! F1 games or Project Cars 2 have a proper career mode, but this isn't one.

He confirmed already that it has open roads and traffic

Yup, just finished the video. Lots of questions answered at the end, and tomorrow's panel will supposedly have a ton of details about the multiplayer model.

This game is the future of sim racing. Hype levels over 9000.

I'm liking what I am reading and seeing about this. Looking forward to the car models presentation next.
Elaborating on what I was saying earlier because I've finished work. PC Sims have tended to have very lacklustre career modes. ACC was decent, but console sims are much better in this regard, games like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport tended to blend game progression and realism much better than PC Sims. The thing about PC Sims though is that the realism aspects are what the devs completely focus on. PC Sims like Assetto Corsa, iracing and auto mobilista etc, have more advanced and realistic physics than GT and Forza games, these are games designed exclusively for for precision of racing wheels and gamepad support is an afterthought. These games are for the hardcore enthusiasts who want the realism as close to reality as they can. At the expense of many standard game features.

So the idea of a game with this level of physics with an actual proper career mode sounds awesome. Of course it remains to be seen, but with FM23s barebones single player, and the godfathers of THE single player progression system Gran Turismo abandoning what fans loved for the underwhelming and rigid cafe system, there's room for a new daddy. It may still underwhelm in this regard, butI'm excited to find out!

What is a simulation game like this or iracing like when you choose an external camera? Also do they support control pads?

Finally all these years later it seems that someone made better rain effects (without mods) on the windshield than Driveclub...

Game looks great!

For real! Still doesn't look quite as impressive as sol modded into AC but then again the video quality hasn't been the best on these vids.

GM shows some of the graphics settings, changes wheel settings, and I have a feeling he wasn't supposed to, lol.
