Dell Site
Expires 11/13... Rebate brings it down to friggin $41.16.... for a 1GB drive... geez.. and I just bought my 512 not that long ago.... free shipping to boot.

they call me "Man Gravy".
Already got it earlier today :)

It's a sweet deal, hopefully Lexar doesn't go out of their way to try and exclude people from getting their rebates (like some other places do).

Ah... I found it -- at check out I was asked to identify the carrier method I would use to pick up my shipping order. Seems the coupon link I clicked on worked only for Dell Business Solutions.

What are you all going to use this thing for? I am tempted to buy it because it seems cheap, but I can't think of why I would need this.

Well, I'm a Computer Animation major, so it'd come in handy when I render all my vid files and carry the thing to school, rather than having to burn the work and risk having the file corrupted (has happened several times for me and other students as well). Plus, my old zip 250MB thumb drive sucks ass because the damned thing falls apart too easily. All I have now is the chip with the USB connection -- the casing slipped off while I was pulling it out of my comp. some months ago. Other than that, it'll just be used for when my friends and I share media files or art work without wasting cd-rs.

Does anyone still have a copy of this rebate form? Apparently, when Dell said that my order was delayed and would be cancelled if I didn't respond by a certain date to verify that I still wanted the order, I declined and expected it to be cancelled.

Well, today I got an email saying that my order has been shipped -- now, either I get the old rebate form for this or I can return it, it doesn't matter either way -- but since it's already on the way over here, does anyone have a copy saved somewhere?

edit -- nevermind, i think i found it HERE.

Hopefully it still works.

Fuck! I just bought a 256MB drive on a whim at Wal-Mart the other day for $40 + tax. Not that I'll need all the extra space, but if you can get more for the same price, why not? Sucks to be me..
