Today Atlus unleashed its traditional annual survey asking a bunch of interesting questions to its fans.

The questionnaire in Japanese, which also came in 2020, 2019, and prior years, includes some small but interesting variations, which could indicate which topics Atlus is paying attention to.

As usual, we get questions about platforms preferences.

We’re asked to choose between PS4/PS4 Pro, PlayStation VR, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite, Smartphone (three options, basic free to play, one-time payment, and subscription), Xbox, and Steam.

Interestingly, the Google Stadia option that was added last year is gone. On the other hand, the Xbox option has been added. This is the first time in recent years that Microsoft’s console is an option.

PC is the way to go here which has been proved by strong sales of Japanese games in the west.... which is odd considering SEGA who knows all this own Atlus so you would of thought they would of told them.

Selling JRPG's on xbox would be like setting up a doujinshi stand at the superbowl, its the wrong crowd. Europe buys more RPG's than the American Market and leans heavily Sony for a reason.

They ask Japanese gamers if they want the games on Xbox. Geniuses.

Atlus probably are in a phase where they forgot the rest of the world exists, so they ask the question to people who don't even know that Xbox is a thing. They will remember eventually that USA exist and ask the question there, only to forget again. Europe ? They probably won't remember about it though.
