Focus Entertainment will publish Mundfish-developed first-person action RPG Atomic Heart for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam), the companies announced. The game has also been delayed from its previously planned 2022 release window to “this winter,” which puts it anywhere between January 1, 2023 and March 20.

“Five years ago, when we founded the studio, we set ourselves the goal of creating a world-class product that could be appreciated by millions of people all over the world,” said Mundfish CEO Robert Bagratuni in a press release. “And now, when the stakes are as high as ever, we are finally ready to release the momentum we have been accumulating over these years. We couldn’t be happier to head to the release with such an experienced publisher, and we have no doubt that Focus Entertainment will make the upcoming game launch truly outstanding.”

Focus Entertainment chief business development officer Julien Ramette added, “It’s an honor to collaborate with a studio as talented as Mundfish. We were amazed by Robert and his teams’ creative minds as soon as we started exchanging. The AAA standards they’ve provided for their first game is truly an accomplishment. Atomic Heart is sure to honor all players in search of an original, new generation experience.”

Hopefully isn't sandwiched between many of the other titles coming out early next year.
Just needs to steer clear of Starfield, but this seems like more of a Bioshock FPS/adventure than a WRPG I suppose. Looks neat. Hopefully they get it polished up.

I think many people will be disappointed with what this game actually ends up being, I wouldn't be getting so excited for it until someone external to the dev plays it and confirms its not just a series of vertical slices.

Happy to be proven wrong, the graphics are pretty mega in that last demo with the glass greenhouses thingies and the big blobs of time frozen... stuff.

Its just setting off a lot of alarm bells in my head when the devs are saying shit like "its 30 hours long and requires multiple playthroughs to see all the content", if that means its 10 hours long and there is a point where you make one of 3 choices that changes a few things and/or an event at the end then that's plausible but if they are saying the game is 30 hours long for one playthrough I'm like:

Said this delay was going to happen in the other thread and 2023 is going to be a very interesting year because I don't see how all these games are releasing next year.

I can see some smaller games/IPs delaying later into the year or even early 2024 to avoid the clusterfuck that October and November are bound to be.

What I want to know is, what do Mundfish people think about their Pooty's mass murder in Ukraine, and will me buying the game or even playing it on gamepass contribute to the taxes they pay to Pooty?

Exactly, the game seems very interesting but I can't resort myself to funding Russia's genocidal fascist war machine. Sorry devs.

I don't think they can avoid it tbh. It's stacked from January onwards.

As far as I know they publicly denounced the war on social media channels. With that being said obviously they have pay that business tax to the Russian government.

Everything seems to be delayed to 2023, going to be a bloodbath of competition in the first half of the year.

Nah still think this shit is either some 3 hour flashy game or a big ass scam. Now they have a publisher and they're prolly in panick mode hence the delay? Will most likely be delayed to 2024 or something.
