Bwahahaha. I'm heading out in about an hour. I'm not buying anything, I'm taking my cousin to buy some DVDs. I'm just a sadistic weirdo wanting to grab a bunch of the "hot item" and then place them around like bait and wait for the hounds to find it...and attack each other for them.

There's a risk involved...yes...but it's one I'm willing to take for a few hours of fun. :D

That and I'll be watching my cousin's DVDs later in the day. :)

Ugh. I have to stay awake for another hour and a half, so I can get a 160 gig hard drive for like $40. Fortunately, it's too cold to sleep.

I was gonna go buy a few DVDs but saw live footage of my local mall in the news and it looked bad. Place was apparently so crowded that there were lines outside the stores with people waiting to get in.

I just got back from Staples and Best Buy. I got nothing, everything was gone. Lines that go to the back of the store. Bah! I decided to look on the web for a good deal.

This is the absolute one day I will not leave the house. I hate stupid people, I hate crowds, I hate stupid drivers and I hate lines. No thanks. The sales and the savings on this day are not worth all that trouble. I'd rather spend more money on something than get out in this mess.

I'm abou 16 shades of fucked today, I work my office job from 8 to 4, then get an hours rest and then head in KB Toys to work from 6 to FUCKING MIDNIGHT! Ergh.

I hate all you BF shoppers. Here's a tip, shop earlier! I'll have to deal with all the rude-ass soccer moms today and am not thrilled by it. Hope there's at least the hot, flirty chic working the cell phone stand tonight.

Well, got my Simpsons Season 4 DVD for $17.77 at Target this morning....total time spent on line: 32mins 41 secs. Worth it since the line was fast, i'm broke, and to see the general chaos and listen in on people's cell phone convos.

Got my 160gig HD from Staples this morning. Went to WalMart after to laugh at the people fighting over merchandise. Then went to Burger King for breakfast and now I'm home.

Went to EB this morning, to get some deals on games. I get there at 6:45 because the ad said they opened at 7am, but the guy didn't show up till 7:20, and then I had to wait till 7:35 before he opened the store. I had to duck and weave through the crowd because everyone and their mother decided to show up.

I finally get in line, which is long and full of angry people, and had to wait forty minutes because the people they have working there are slow as hell. I finally get my games at 8:30, and I'm on my way home; when I get home at 8:49 I open the cases and find out there's no games inside of them. So now I have to wait till 3:00pm so I can go back and get my games.

Long story short Black Friday sales suck and I'm doing the rest of my Christmas shopping online.

One of the benefits of living in Maine is that our Black Friday is about as busy as your average day in a more urban area. I walked into best buy and grabbed myself an ATi Radeon 9600 XT 128mb (ATi brand), my girlfriend grabbed some games for her brothers, and we were done checkout about two minutes after getting in line.

Damn, I remember when I used to work at retail, TRU, 4pm to 12am, and we ended up leaving around 1:30am due to the clean up, reorganizing, and the fact that at 11pm, people were still coming into the store.

Hrm. And any other time, shoppers are okay?

Look at it this way- they'll be lots of shoppers regardless of Black Friday. Everybody would be buying holiday gifts, after realizing that they don't have too much time left.

I work here and as I'm sitting up in my office eating lunch, it's so damned crowded downstairs you'd think we were giving money away or something. And this is, so far, a slow year for us.

Although dealing with the customer mob scene is easier than what my crew and I spent the last three weeks doing; putting up 2400 feet of christmas lights and garland. Joy. We spend weeks just getting ready for this weekend. Nine years doin' it and I'm still amazed, every time.

the worst part of all this if that all us regualr shoppers have to wait like 3 days before going out to do regular shopping because a bunch of idiots are piling up stores to get a free teddy bear or $10 gift card. i was actually thinking of going to the mall today to get a pair of shoes then i remembered...fuck.

Boxing day is usually tame compared to Black Friday, plus the last few years (at least) the sales have been meager here in Toronto.

I survived Target and Wal-mart. They were both zoos, but it's pretty painless if you have a plan.

I had a friend stand in line at a register the moment we entered Target. I waded through a sea of people to the games and movies section, grabbed the second-to-last copy of the marked down Simpsons Season Four DVD, and got back to the register just in time to check out.

Also picked up a Christmas Tree at Wal-mart. The place had 30 minute lines at the regular registers, but no one thought to hit up the register in home and garden. The register was open and empty when I was ready to go.

I would have snapped some with my phone if I knew there was interest.

Oh, I failed to mention Best Buy. I took about 5 steps into that place, saw the insane number of people stumbling over each other, then turned around and left.

There was such an unhealthy flow of people going in and coming out of that place, you could probably unplug a computer and walk out with it unnoticed.

Worked 8-12. Not really too busy. Biggest shopper bought 12 GBAs, 4 GBCs, 16 N64 games, and 16 GBA games, and got $200 off through various discounts. It only started getting busy as I was leaving (about an hour and a half ago).
