August Wrasslin' |OT| Make a.. make a good...uh...a good wrestling thread

Ambrose beats Rollins and Reigns on the mic but Rollins and Reigns beat him on ring ability. What one Shield member is terrible with, another is great at it.

Also, Breezango didn't even show up with the other teams. The Ascension is given a chance over them, what a disgrace.
I'm hoping them not showing up that night might be the point (or maybe they weren't there like the Usos). American Alpha just sort of ruined all the other tag-teams by still standing tall after three other tag-teams got in the ring with them. Leaves me with the hope Breezango is who they feud with when it comes to deciding the eventual Smackdown tag champs.

Sandow on that Chris Hero diet (also he looks a lot worse without the full beard).

Hope you all are proud that you ran off the last great big man in Dave Bautista because you didn't get your way.

Well we wouldn't have gotten WM30 and then the Shield/Evolution feud so yes, yes I am.

Technically it was WWE who ran him off anyway. Even he said he should have come back as a heel.

hope Bryan vs Kane was worth it

Felt good to fast-forward through fifteen solid minutes of Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon, and Big Show talking to start this RAW.

And now, Rock, this is a ridiculous shirt I can get behind:

Way better than the last one I posted.

How long until WWE compares someone scaling the turnbuckle to climbing Trump Tower?

Seems like Mauro's wheelhouse but it's topical so they'll feed it to anyone

Yeah Ambrose is way better on the mic compared to the other two and what's funny is that only recently (according to Ambrose) has he had any freedom on the mic. That Ziggler promo was arguably his best promo in the company so we'll see where this goes.

As for Ambrose's ringwork, it depends on the match. These Suicide Dives and all suck for damn near every wrestler from Ambrose to Big E to Sasha to who knows, I'm just sick of guys doing them. Dudes in this topic are acting like Ambrose is the only one fucking up suicide dives. I can show you a video where Rollins has a horrible one.

What's funny in this case is that Kane is involved. Again.

Ambrose does need to get better at punches and he needs to be more solid with his offense but one thing he does that I haven't seen many wrestlers in this company do these days is he adapts his style. Ambrose against Owens wrestles different than Ambrose against Ziggler (per those tourney matches they had) which looks different than Ambrose vs Kofi (he used more submissions and holds against Kofi). He's constantly changing his style against guys. I can't say that for Reigns, he always wrestles the same, and I can't say that for Rollins, he wrestles the same and he's damn near a babyface with his style. You can comment on how you think his moves are bad but man does that boy adapt when he has to. I mean look at the HHH match and compare that to an Owens match in styles. He changes.

Another thing that Ambrose does against guys that Rollins and Reigns don't do is that he makes them look at great as possible from a booking standpoint. When someone's against Ambrose I always think they're on a new level they haven't reached, they have a chance and can elevate themselves and they usually step it up. When they face Reigns and Rollins I think "well they're gonna put on a great match but be back in the same spot" and that's especially against Reigns. I don't have any hope for them against those guys and that goes double for their current feuds. Ziggler's looking the best he's looked in years against Ambrose, he looks like he can hang a bit. Balor looks like a placeholder until Reigns is back and Rusev went from an awesome dude to someone who's gonna be put down by Reigns to get his name potentially up.

All different dudes who excel in different things. As a whole package though I prefer Ambrose for everything. It's not just about ringwork and what moves he can do. It's about the whole experience. His storylines have also mostly been better I'd say well, his rise rather but that's also another personal point.

Congrats on killing Bryan, the Shield (both as a unit and solo), and the Wyatts

It's crazy how much things change and how much careers aren't ruined or negatively affected in any way if Dave never comes back to be teased by yall

But again, we got a good ending out of it: Batista acknowledging his own value and who he needs to please. Nothing else

I called GOTG1 being a big success. Calling GOTG2 getting him that Oscar next

ROH and CMLL are partners

On Wednesday afternoon, Ring of Honor's official Twitter account retweeted a link from the Spanish-language mediatiempo.com announcing that ROH and CMLL have entered into an official working relationship.

The two promotions are natural partners, as both have strong relationships with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

The article notes that an official talent exchange between the two companies has been agreed to, and the crossover of talent began last month when CMLL's Stuka Jr. competed at ROH's TV tapings in Philadelphia against Kamaitachi.

ROH's Matt Taven will be headed to Mexico later this year and will compete for CMLL on September 9th at Arena Mexico.

That show will be just days after CMLL holds what is usually one of the biggest wrestling events of the year with the 83rd edition of their anniversary show. CMLL announced the full card for that show today, with Dragon Lee vs. La Mascara headlining it in a mask vs. mask match.

Dragon Lee will be making his ROH debut later this year at All Star Extravaganza VII.

I kinda feel bad for AAA

I will always respect Dave Bautista because he walked into Full Sail and exposed what unbelievable sheep NXT fans are, years before the rest of you caught on to it.

I just finished watching Monday's ‪#‎Raw‬ match between Cesaro and Sheamus, and was so impressed with the intensity and physicality that I feel like I need to offer both men an apology.

I want to stress that I LOVE being the Raw GM, but if there is a drawback, it is that when pulled in so many directions during the course of the show, I do not get to concentrate completely on every match in the ring. Had I seen this match in its entirety as it aired live, I would have gone out of my way to praise it when Cesaro entered the ring during my in-ring talk with Daniel Bryan - much as I had praised the commentary on the ‪#‎CruiserweightClassic‬ of Mauro Ranallo and Daniel Bryan earlier in the segment. I really do think wrestling fans recognize sincerity when they see or hear it - and they appreciate it. It may seem like a minor point, but sometimes it's the little things added up that make a difference in building WWE Superstars to their fullest potential. So I apologize to both these men, and make a promise to everyone that I will try to recognize my shortcomings as GM - and work on them - so that I can do the best job possible best each and every week.
Foley the only GM to make apologies on shortcomings.
