I'll give aus netflix a go, hopefully I can get solid HD streaming.
Do other Australians have horrible buffering issues with Twitch? I don't get it, all the other mainstream video sites work perfectly

man walks into a shop and buys new wave amiibos with no problem whatsoever.
I have horrific issues with Youtube as well, and I'm on 100mbit cable.I've been doing some googling and it seems like Twitch are basically blaming our local ISPs. Curious if anyone actually knows what's going on

I don't know what to think.
Really?
I'm on DSL and for the most part video streaming works perfectly well. Twitch is a total outlier to this for me. Always has been.
Well that's not completely true. A couple of services seem to have some buffering issues at night (one being iTunes, another is Animelab), which I assume is due to limited bandwidth on the servers I'm streaming from.

Anything 1080p is basically a lost cause for me now. But having said that, I think it's gotten progressively worse over the last few months so maybe it's a router thing.I have issues with YouTube also.
Omi uploads CSGO videos in 1080p/60 and if I try and load in that res it will just shit the bed.
Pretty much the reason I gave up on esports. They all moved to twitch and then it became too much of a buffering hassle to watch. Ffs.

I'm in this weird place right now where I find myself agreeing with the Australian Christian Lobby

With these video streaming services, how often do they add content? Do they tell you if they've got something awesome coming to it? Also I'm guessing HBO stuff isn't available on any of them? Tossing up between Netflix and Stan, don't really want/need both. Tough choice, I guess there will be things I miss out on.
Netflix will normally release a list of the coming month's additions and removals

Crap, have to watch Friday the 13th before they go.

Do you care to expand on that?
THE sexual adventures of Christian Grey are a shade too risque for the Australian Christian Lobby, which wants open-air cinema organisers to have a good, hard look at whether an outdoor screening of an erotic blockbuster is appropriate.
Sounds like a good excuse for a marathon!
Hey guys, first time posting in here. Did anyone else purchase Bloodborne off the US store? I did and earlier in the day the timer was showing it unlocking at 2 PM, but I've just turned it on and I guess it has figured out I'm in Australia and is showing it as unlocking in 9 more hours. Not a big deal, just wondering if anyone knows a way around this or is having the same issue?

Unlocked for me 30 mins ago. Make sure you're logged into your US account, not the AU account.
a yag appears D:
The main issue is not everything you want to watch is on Netflix. Particularly recent releases. For someone looking for something to watch it's good, for someone with some specific thing in mind it's often lacking.
I guess people who want to watch newer movies and are unwilling to wait for Netflix/Stan to get it. And are unwilling to deal with physical rentals. Of course these days there's only kiosks and their variety is a joke at best.
Even without subscription based streaming I never felt the urge to rent movies like that. But then if I have a urgent need to see something new I'll see it at the cinema rather than pay new release rental prices.
Netflix and a VPN is your best bet.
