TBF...they do have a very deep ocean of comic book knowledge...but if you miss them that bad just stop by their youtube channel and "like, comment, subscribe, and think about supporting the efforts by joining their pateron" or however that works.

I get that maybe it’s just the nature of a big event film like the Avengers, but “remember this other stuff?” feels flimsy. It’s not being promoted around paying off a story we’ve been watching build for years. It’s just “we’ve got the X-Men now.”

So if I were to get my kids into these, what is the bare minimum must watch ones?

I’m thinking:
Avengers 1-2
Civil War
Avengers 3-4

Anything else you think is needed?

You kidding? 95% of the 'heroes' they are announcing are in totally different films.

I'm not sure ANYTHING will help, maybe just BNW, Thunderbolts, and FF4FS really.

They can't expect viewers to remember Shang-Chi, any of the Wakanda stuff, or any of it really. Thor feels soooo out of place next to these guys, he is about the only way to anchor a bloated cast like this, otherwise every one of them is gonna get a single quip to the camera and then be a CG doll in the back ground of a massive fight.

The excitement of Avengers 1 and then Infinity War was because EVERYONE was tuning in and invested. That ain't the case now. Almost all of these heroes are coming from 200-400 mill films, not billion dollar ones, and I think its because the actors and characters don't resonate nearly as well, not because the audience is just catching them all on D+.

Probably best just going from Iron Man and working forwards. Avengers isn’t going to mean as much to the kids if that’s their starting point compared to if they’ve seen those characters do their own thing beforehand. If they like them then you can be more selective as you go on leaving out the lesser ones.

No Guardians? No Hulk? No Red Hulk? No Wolverine? No Daredevil, Hawkeye, Girl Hawkeye, Moon Knight, or the real heavy hitters Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and the other one?

Other than Thor and perhaps Cyclops, every one on this roster would get dusted by even a C string cosmic level villain. Girl Ironman didn't even make the cut? No Eternals?

I suspect they will be doling out names for months as they try to sustain any level of excitement. Stewart is a ghost of himself, he can't muster the energy necessary to command the room as Xavier. Not sure about McKellan, haven't seen him in anything for a stretch. But I woulda gone with the younger actor versions, personally.

I wonder how many will get killed off? For doomsday don’t they need a thanos scene too?

Also, how old is Rebecca now? Not sure that’s a realistic casting

Seems about right. They're getting desperate because very little they've done since End Game has gone well, so instead of playing a few of the aces up their sleeve they're playing them all at once.

This will either somehow get people interested again or it will be a hail mary that just wasn't enough. I'm sure it'll be fun to have a ridiculous cast again, but with so many being nostalgia and a lot being introduced in a now forgotten Disney+ series.

We'll have reactions like "Oh shit it's Vision! But why is he all white now?" and it won't have any of the weight behind it because we haven't seen these characters built up across a decade of interconnected movies that were long a TV series scaled up. Instead we have a long running story that has no beginning, middle, or end, is barely connected if at all, and was told through TV, radio, comic, cereal boxes, and ARGs that only 5% of the original audience stuck around for.

I imagine they're doing this so they can film and try and keep the actual secrets a secret. I'm glad the X-Men are now official.

What about Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Hulk (red and green), Ms Marvel, Captain Marvel, and the Eternals?

They are ditching Tom Holland and Brie Larson?

Is there a reason they won't show up? I forgot what happened in the films leading up to this.

I can’t see any of the F4 crew dying this early, but everyone else is up for grabs. Shuri is quite possibly dead if the new Black Panther rumours were true.
