Avowed Deluxe Edition contains 5 day early access

If it has some kind of DLC, I might bite. Just depends on what I'm playing at the time. The 5 day EA is not a factor for me.

People are complaining about this game without playing it. The funny thing will be if it has no competition for its genre for its release year, then the oblivion remake in 26, with the outer worlds 2 in 27 creating our moronic loop of arguments between them.

It has competition in Kingdom Come Deliverence 2 releasing same month. Which will probably be bigger rpg.

But yeah, complaining about it is mostly silly.

Key art for this game rules

I hate this EA trend. I can hold out for this game without issue. But I admit if it's an especially hyped game for myself this EA shit can get me…

Can I play it on a tv? console? phone? streaming stick? tablet? laptop? If only there was a marketing campaign that explained this stuff.

another Starfield situation
That would actually be good in terms of sales and ip penetration.
There was an article highlighting starfield as the only new ip that charted in 2023 in the top 10.

The question that we will never know is are these games basically funded by gamepass.

Off topic: really want that mix of gritty world with sword and sorcery. But will give this a shot due to GP.

If it's just a normal fantasy game I might bite even though I'm not a fan of the direction they went in.

this game has nowhere near Starfield's marketing. Im taking about the shills in the early access period hyping up the game beyond the merits of the game itself.

Is this on Steam day one too? Looks like something that might be alright on Deck.

Correct. Steam day 1.

Even Battle.net for some reason.

Because it looks like shit.

Pretty sure that RPGs will be coming out in 2025.

That boxart is amazing.
I feel bad I dont buy physical games anymore, cuz that would be such a cool boaxart to have.

That's harsh. I miss the dark fantasy vibe of the first trailer but I'm still intrigued purely because Obsidian. The Outer Worlds was lame but they still have talent there.

If early access helps fund games that are getting really expensive to make and the people paying for that are happy. Who cares?!

Also that steelbook looks excellent.

I dont know man Skyrim with good combat sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Hopefully we also get to make even more extreme godlikes than we have already seen.

it's not Skyrim, it's outer worlds in fantasy.

You make that sound like a bad thing.
Devs said in scope its bigger than Outer Worlds......but either way everything ive seen so far makes it seem like a pretty good game.

And the combat looks pretty sketchy.

What looks sketchy about it?
The footage ive seen looks great, no its not Doom'16 but i dont know how sketchy it looks (which is why im asking for some elaboration)

BTW after Outer Worlds, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some woke shit in this game, and they want to sell as many copies as they can before all the embarrassing YouTube videos start coming out.

The first game I remember having that horseshit was a game by, drum roll please, Ubisoft, The Division 2.

I thought back then, what a horrible exploitative add on to get more money for nothing. It seemed not to catch on as it was extremely rare to see. I feel like this year we have had quite a few games with this nonsense, even my personal favourite, Silent Hill 2.

I suppose making a game more expensive by giving you nothing isn't a surprise, considering company's actually put beta tests behind paywalls, meaning you pay them to test (work Q&A) the game. Fucking backwards world we live in.

For all the dipshits that pay for a few days early access? Great no locked bs justpaid beta testers
