I mean GTA without Lazlow writing the radio and dialogue makes me apprehensive, I get it. You are right they Arent the same but then again they wouldnt be if one developer left if you want to get strict with it.

I still have faith in them though and I hope GTA6 will prove that they dont need those guys to make an amazing game.

Understandable.

I hope the games lives up to the hype and wait for you, man! Wouldn't wish any different, especially after such a substantial wait. I am not a huge GTA fan, so I am fairly neutral on it, but it's importance in the industry is obviously massive.

I wouldn't pay the standard price on day 1 anyway, so all this talk about GTA costing more than the average game is just crazy to me. Everyone has that thing where they have no clue why it's so popular or why people like it, GTA is that for me. It's two dozen mid game mechanics slapped together in one of the most boring open worlds of every generation.

I hope it's $199 with only a full 3-day early access period. I'd love to see the responses and discourse surrounding that kinda move.

I voted, yes.

At this point I've waited 4,186 days for GTA 6.

Since I regularly pay $150+ for things that give me zero satisfaction in life, I'd gladly pay that for this and take time off to play it early, bitches.

Throw in some deluxe edition pre-order non-sense bonuses and we have a deal!

I'd pay no more than $80 for something I'm really missing, @ %50 of that price I need first to make sure how it performs on Series X and no, this isn't just about why you're not playing it on pro, I don't need to get schooled how this game should be played on which console, I know performance and I've seen it, second, you could judge just from looking if this isn't the right graphics settings for GTAVI on this console so I'm saving it for xbox prime next year just like monster hunter wild.

If release dates as arbitrary placeholders for "early access" slimeball greed becomes the norm, you will never see me again for I will be on the Black Pearl.

If that really is the plan, what's yours? Poll attached
Rockstar sells games at the standard game price and doesn't do 'special editions', DLC or 'early access'.
Counter Prediction: GTA6 will be a PS5 exclusive AO rated game.
The ESRB's been giving GTA games the M rating in the USA while in the EU PEGI's been giving the same games the EU equivalent of AO(PEGI 18+).
In the US the move to AO will provide all the free publicity that GTA6 needs.
The reality is that Steam's had AO games for ages and PS will just be leveling the playing field.

I think people expect they should be able to buy every game once it comes out. I remember saving £70 IE Pounds for Turok. Games should probably be close to €150 nowadays so they are doing us a huge favour. GTAVI.. vs Turok... You would pay more for a shitty hotel room.

I have the disposable income, what I don't have is time.

If I can arrange something with the wife, maybe taking the kids to a beach trip or something like that, while I stay home "working", I would do it.

Threads like these, give the answer to the question: Why do scalpers exist?

Do people really want to pay exuberant amounts of money just to play a game early?

No wonder why companies scam customers with their preorder bonuses and whatnot.

See, I’m a man of principle, a man who believes in gettin’ the full measure of a deal. Two weeks is temptin’, sure, but $150? That’s a hefty chunk of change. I reckon I’d rather wait and bide my time. Ain’t no sense in rushin’ paradise when you can savor the journey.

Big Star Wars mak here, I fell for this with Outlaws. Never again. I got burnt pre-ordering Avengers.
Done with pre-orders and being bent over by greedy publishers trying to squeeze every penny from a shrinking customer base because everyone is locked into Gaas games.

I'd never pay extra for early access. Hell, chances are higher for me to not buy a game at all if it has early access. Especially if it's an online game.
