This part of the run just got real impressive since he's moving really precisely backwards at stupid speeds, using damage boosts and describing it all at the same time. Like damn

Eh, I've found him entertaining. At least he offers some occasionally funny/neat commentary during the run. Mocking "cringe" moments during a damn speed running marathon of all things is like think you're cool for discovering the ocean is wet. Social awkwardness is kinda part and parcel and I'd imagine a significant portion of us could relate...apart from that crazy potentially violent guy from last time.

Wonder how many gaffers criticizing runners have "anxiety" (read: no self confidence) so bad they couldn't even attempt this.
I just got the news earlier that a regular client, no really good friend of mine, passed away over the holidays due to cancer. Last I saw him was around early Dec. and he was looking ghostly and couldn't keep any food down. I just wish I got to spend more time with him when he was in last, but the holiday season kept me swamped. I donated today and will likely again before the week is out cause cancer is just taking away too many.
It was during downtime on the stream between games, one of the audience members realised he was on camera, got something up on his phone, walked towards the screen trying to show what was on it, went to sit back down but realised it wasn't showing, walked closer to the camera but all you could see was white and he just gave up and looked around hoping nobody saw him or something.
Don't forget that this is the forum where some people judged the quality of Reggie's Iwata speech at the VGA.
Noone is criticizing social/ generalized anxiety. It's the poor taste in humor (rubik's cube for long cutscenes, F'ing babies, rape/ consent jokes, being a dragon, etc). The runner got a lot better after a half an hour or so but it wasn't just Gaf saying this. The chat was rife with those comments too. The runner is a streamer themself and as of right now it's clear that they are doing fine in front of the camera. It was just a very poor choice of words earlier on that people reacted in kind to.
That said yeah the run got a hell of a lot better once the prepared jokes were exhausted.

How are Rubik's cubes in poor taste? It's just something to do to pass time they can't skip. The baby doll thing was just a dumb reference to prop boosting. The dragon thing, I don't know, apparently something he references during his streams that I don't watch. He stepped in for a dude that couldn't make it there and has presented an entertaining run while offering some insight on the techniques, which I always enjoy.

Twitch chat actually has a lot more substance than in here. It's currently critiquing how people should react to what we saw nearly an hour ago.

I think he used the noclip cheat since every method he tried wasn't working.
Good thing it's 3AM here.
The player just got word that his viewership went up by 3k, shortly thereafter got a hug from one of his friends and they huddled together for a commemorative photo.

Been liking this run a lot overall though. I didn't see the first ~20min though so I missed a lot of the "cringe" parts I guess but this guy's been pretty cool.
A far cry from the special fella who played Hotline Miami late last night that's for sure.
