Just for once I'd like to see a city invert the phallic oneupmanship and go for err... yonic imagery. Say they're going to build the world's biggest livable ditch. Deeper than the Mariana Trench.

Then laugh when the apocalypse comes and sell living space at premium rates.

How long has the Burj Khalifa been completed, and what is the current occupancy rate?
And I'd say Dubai is a more desirable location than Azerbaijan...

Burj opened one year ago in Jan and apparently it's occupancy is not doing too well

Dubai is a more desired location for now but people will flock to whichever country has money to burn.

The budget would probably end up massively inflated anyway. I doubt this will ever be built anyway.
