Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and others cutting diplomatic ties to Qatar

Putin is 100% gonna get involved if he can try and fuck over the americans. Possibly kicking them out of Qatar.

You know he smelled blood and will try to fuck over Trump as soon as he can

I mean the FBI has indicated this all started with alleged Russian hacking of Quatars news agency to make them look worse and set off this mess. Russia is def involved and wants to set off a crisis to fuck over the US.

BREAKING: Turkish Parliament has approved legislation allowing troops to be deployed to military base in Qatar - @DailySabah
Turks are getting a bit feisty.

This is all going bad. Much as I dislike US hegemony, this is what happens when the overiding power disengages from the region. All the young upstarts start strutting about, and I worry that there is no referee/bully/sarge (depending on your view) to keep the fools in check.

Nah. The regional balance of power was overturned by the invasion of Iraq. What we're seeing today is a direct consequence of American hegemony.

Skynews Arabia
Trump had a phone call with the Emir of Qatar
"Trump urged the Emir to stop supporting terrorist groups "

For reference Qatar support the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.

Lol. Yeah, good guys the Saudis, only supporting ISIS, as opposed to the bad guys supporting Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.
But ISIS evidently and numerously attacked Saudia Arabia in multiple occasions.
They killed Saudi soldiers on the Iraqi boardes
They bombed the Prophet Mosque.
Al Baghdadi mentioned multiple times that Mecca and Medina are occupied by the Royal family and needs to be liberated from them.

That's the major stuff
Other incidents that are not widely reported like decapitation, finding hidden terrorist cells filled with artillery and money.

Are you connected to Saudi Arabia?

again no evidence is shown that Saudi Arabia the Goverment has financed ISIS

other groups in Syria maybe/sure but ISIS and Saudi Arabia are pure enemies

and also like those post in the previous page that just basically said "lol no evidence but let us say Saudi Arabia" that isn't going to contribute, add or even help in anything when we just blabber stuff via what we want to feel then what it actually is

criticize things like Saudi proxy wars, or funding other things, etc... but literally don't just make stuff up

all the times that Baghdadi does his addresses he threatens constantly Turkey, Saudi, US

I mean I got replies with tons of article links etc... but none of them prove that point but instead talk about independent donors, citizens, and over all Saudi hegemony.... If you guys want to say that the Saudi Ideology though contributes to the whole conundrum though is another matter entirely

Can this fucking forum stop mentioning World War 3 for 2 fucking seconds, jesus christ why is everyone here raving about WW3 the whole time?

Because things all over the world are pretty fucked up at the moment and several unpredictable and awful things have happened in the last year. People are naturally worried, stressed, and in some cases scared. They respond with exaggerated worry or fear because despite my own beliefs that conflict is unlikely, we live in very unpredictable times.
After all not too long ago I would have bet my entire life savings that trump would never get anywhere near the white house because I never believed people would be so self destructive and stupid as to put an incompetent bigoted piece of shit in charge. I was very wrong.
I don't believe this family feud being played out in front of the world and at the expense of the citizens of the gcc would ever lead to open warfare. But I could be very wrong.

The Saudi government has a history of funding extreme groups, which can be traced back to its funding of the Abu Nidal organisation and the Mujahadeen, right through to ISIS. This involves govt bodies (saudi intel), semi private institutions (NCB) as well as wider extreme religious ideology.

There are tonnes of public sources. Govt sources are harder to get, as both the US and the UK are sitting on unreleased reports into the Saudi financing of terrorist organisations. However, you can glean the level and extent o it by selective and careful reading of other Govt records. The Senator John Kerry report on BCCI is a historic, but intetesting read in this respect.

As I said, there is more up to date public literature. Books, papers, reports, public statements by officials. Simply google it if needed.

Thanks to the hacking we know that ex secretary of state Hillary Clinton knew that both Saudi Arabia and Qatar provided funds to ISIS

This shit is no mystery

An interesting take from David Hearst: Why the campaign against Qatar is doomed.

Their second miscalculation was to assume that because Qatar was small, no bigger nation would come to its defence. Both Saudi and the UAE have significant investments in Turkey, one of which Abu Dhabi made after it had tried to unseat Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a coup. Both thought Turkey would be bought off.

The opposite happened. Erdogan realised that if Qatar were crushed, he would be the only man of that camp standing.

Their third miscalculation was to reveal their real beef with Qatar. It has nothing to do with funding terrorism or cosying up to Iran. In fact the Emiratis do a roaring trade with Iran, and they are part of the coalition accusing Qatar of siding with Tehran.

Their real demands, which were conveyed to the Emir of Kuwait - who is acting as an intermediary - are the closure of Al Jazeera, de-funding of Al Arabi al Jadid, Al Quds al Arabi, and the Arabic edition of Huffington Post, along with the expulsion of Palestinian public intellectual Azmi Bishara.

I live in the gulf and it's really sad and pathetic how indoctrinated the masses are, showing slight dissonance equals a life sentence over here. I hope my daughter will live to see a different arab world.

So many of my friends from the gulf past couple of years would tell me "Oh man! Get a decent paying job in Qatar! It's coming up man and I hear they are providing better employee benefits than the rest of the gulf!"

I have this slight inkling that they won't be saying that any more.

It wasn't fake news though,

The Qatari Emir gave a speech that was hostile to the neighboring countries and his speech remarks were all over Qatari official media including the television.
Then they changed their mind and said they were "hacked".

I missed this post. How do you know it was on television, have you seen it?

No he didn't, because it did not happen. Our Emir didn't give a speech.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jK6I3_QnRww

You can see the entire event where they alleged he gave the speech.

KSA / UAE have blocked all Qatar news channels / websites and are on full propaganda mode, so he probably got it from there.

Qatar should throw the Muslim Brotherhood under the Bus to atleast get Egypt out of their backs

EDIT:

#Iraqi MP says "If #Qatar asks me I'm ready to send them 10,000 #PMU Militants to fight #SaudiArabia.

Qatar couldn't care less about support from al-sisi who sells his army for the highest bidder. He cannot be trusted. Period. He was told to cut ties by the KSA/UAE and so he did.

Our goverment didnt even acknowledge egypt in their statement
[ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar expressed its deep regret and surprise at the decisions by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain to close their borders and airspace, and sever diplomatic relations with the State of Qatar]

It has become a running joke in the community about not acknowledging them lol.

Yup, this is all about Al Jazeera, mostly the Arabic one (much more outspoken than English). Arab leaders absolutely HATE Al Jazeera, especially since the Arab Spring. AJ reported on uprisings in Bahrain and Egypt, since then both those countries have hated them. Saudi didn't have an uprising or anything, but they still don't like that AJ doesn't follow the Gulf line.

Qatar Airways offices have been shut down in Bahrain, and their website has been blocked as well. Any "sympathizers" also face up to 5 years in Prison.

Same in UAE.

Saudi has put out an order that Al Jazeera needs to be removed from hotel tv's.

Also,Turkey basically told the Saudi's to stop fucking with Qatar. Interesting times.

My parents had to rebook all their flights to Australia at the last minute due to this fiasco. Can't complain about it online either (they live in Dubai). QA gave them a refund though.

So glad they're getting out of the UAE. My dad hasn't been able to stand it for the longest time.

Whenever I want to go to Sri Lanka, I'll be flying QA. Fuck Emirates.

edit: For the record, I'm no Qatar fan per se. I'm just really annoyed by the lengths this ban is going to.
