We’ve had multiple successful and hate free lgbt threads on GAF in recent years (and fun AND informative, for real they were really great).
There will always be a minority of bigots and ass holes in every community, many of whom have been dealt with or will be after enough violations, but it’s not the entire community. Not even close. There are loads of gay and bi users in here that we all love and respect, and trans members too. You can’t let the the shitty minority ruin that for you.
You just have to report, ignore and move on. If you can’t do that, then sure go find another community, but I simply can’t agree that the entire community is an anti gay cess pool. That seem unhinged and disingenuous.
And ultimately, you don’t need to be banned to leave an online community. Just go.
