Why not just wait for E3, though? If it's a big project, that would give it the most exposure.

Almost all the biggest games of the year do not unveil at E3.

Its probably God Eater
Haven't all of From's biggest recent titles been unveiled at E3? My response was addressing a potential From title (not that I think this is). I would expect a big title from them to appear at an E3 press conference.
I think only Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 were revealed at E3. Dark Souls 2 was revealed at the video game awards and I don't remember when Dark Souls 1 was revealed.
Well, Salt and Sanctuary is that.I'll take 2D Souls if it gets us another proper Metroidvania Souls again instead of more Corridor Souls.
Bandai Namco reveals new game in Famitsu: Code Vain, out 2018 (no platform yet). Dark Souls-like Action RPG made by God Eater's team.
I've seen this on twitter, seems to be new news and relevant to this thread?:

Hope it's better than bloodborne.

Then it would be like the best game ever conceived.Hope it's better than bloodborne.
Unreal Engine 4. So this'll be one of those 20 Switch games.
It's better to not start with certain statements well before things are actually announced (we already have the NIS Minecraft-clone that uses UE4 but not coming to Switch - unless it's announced for a later release, which could happen), but let's hope so![]()
Hope it's better than bloodborne.
Kinda like these fanarts, I would love it if From worked on a Tokyo Souls!

The user also updated his twitter with a bunch of infos:
Bandai Namco's Code Vain take place in ruined near-future. Player is a Revenant that has superpower, has to coop with friends to seek truth.
In Code Vain, Revenants have superpower in exchange for most of their memory. Losing blood cause them to turn into ghosts called Lost.
Bandai Namco's Code Vain has Buddy feature where player can bring one buddy to help exploring dungeons.
Revenants in Bamco's new game Code Vain mainly use melee weapons, like Great Sword, One-Handed Sword, Spear and Hammer.
Code Vain main staffs
Producer: Keita Iizuka
Director: Hiroshi Yoshimura
Team Leader: Yusuke Tomizawa
(definitely God Eater's team)
In Code Vain, Revenants have equipment: Blood Veil which use Lost blood. Normally it acts as clothing/armor but will change form when used.
Code Vain also has Temper Blood ability where successfully sucking blood with Blood Veil gives enhancements/new actions.
Effects of Temper Blood ability differs depending on the Lost fought, from enhancing self, weakening enemy, to direct attacks.
BTW I've been using the name Code Vain, but as right now only the katakana コードヴェイン is known, maybe it could also become Code Vein or others.

This is unbelievably cool. Perfectly done and would be really refreshing.
If it's UE4 it's hard to make a terrible PC version. Especially if you are Namco Bandai and at least try to do a good job. With the God Eater team, seems this will quite literately be anime souls then.
If they do a good job of the PC version this will make so much money there.

Well, it's God Eater producer but probably not God Eater deceloper?.
Yeah wanted to say this, all non-mobile God Eater games were developed by Shift, the mentioned staff so far is all Bandai Namco. If that stays that way it's not the God Eater team but the publisher staff trying to do something without their previous developer."God Eater team" is Shift, for now we only know it's the same Bamco producer, developer could be complety different.
