Just started on movie network. No hash tag so far.

Interesting. My guess is Cinemax is doing a promotional/hype thing with the hashtag as it's a free preview weekend. Guess we'll see next week.

I have Dishnetwork so I don't get Movie Network.

A couple people noted that you can watch the Banshee Origin's vid: Interrogation before next week's episode. Not sure if that serves as a teaser or in-between material. It's a long video at almost 15 minutes.

Deputy Kelly, dat tension. I want you to be happy >_>

Like that she's gonna have a bigger role in this season, at least according to that promo.

Been so long, but good season premiere. The Priest looks pretty menacing, wonder if he and Procter will face off at anytime.

Can't wait for the first Hood fistfight of season 2.

'Origins: The Priest' and 'Origins: Brothers' were both pretty good. They provided some important backstory for some of the new (and one of the old) characters.

'Origins: The Person You Were Meant to Be' didn't really amount to much, but it was nice to see some more of Carrie and Gordon's history.

'Origins: Interrogation' was pretty entertaining and it added some dimension to Hood and Racine's scenes in the premiere.

A crazy Fast and the Furious style car sequence followed by an A-Team reference (Sugar's "I love it when a plan comes together!") and then finished off with Job being awesome ("Shut the fuck up and drive!"). Yep, Banshee is back.

Agreed, just the hashtag bothered me.. sorta ruined 25% of the episode for me.

They had an intro to the intro before the show. The pre-intro was catching up on last season and then mentioning "You can tweet live with the cast of banshee during the episode." After that segment, they should have let go of the hashtag. They already mentioning tweeting with the cast..

I'd rather see a circular SHO logo in the bottom-right corner than a bright and bold yellow #BANSHEE.

Here's a shot of me sitting two seats directly behind Ivana. Minor spoilers below, I guess!

They did a great job of hiding just how hot that day really was. I got sunburned pretty bad and always make sure to bring my own sunblock now. They were passing it out, but I missed my chance to get some before we started rolling. They also did a great job of passing out water to everyone. One extra put on so much sunblock that he looked like a ghost and he had to wipe a bunch of it off. It's hard putting that stuff on with no mirror!

This was my first time working on the show. It soon became my favorite project to work on due to the cast, crew, and catering. An extra sent Ivana a message on Twitter in between takes and she responded. They got a picture together afterward. She is incredibly nice. Here is a picture she took of Anthony Ruivivar while we were waiting that she put on her Twitter.

I also might have been in the Amish scene at the beginning but I'm not sure. I worked on the show so damn much that it's hard keeping track of every scene I was in.

damn that was some fun shit but the hashtag was a bit annoying to see.
and anyone notice there 4 combination number this season.(62,7,30,99)
wonder if there going to do same thing like last season.

^ That's cool. This might be a stupid question, did the show provide what you wear?

No, all the extras brought their own clothing options and the wardrobe team decided what was best for each person. This is usually the case for modern-day scenes in normal situations (such as a funeral) on any project. We were given clothing as Amish, however, though we did use some of our own stuff for parts of the outfits. It really depends. I'm working on a movie right now where every single thing you wear is given to you, and they even cut and style everyone's hair and give them makeup (makeup isn't common for background based on my experiences).

Unless I was playing Amish, I always wore my own stuff. Wardrobe always has some things on hand to give to people just in case, though.

A bit of a slow opener, but I get they need to set stuff up. (I don't care for Racine so much, so maybe that's why it felt that way to me.)

I want more of everything else besides the whole Rabbit/FBI stuff.

Good premiere. A bit slow, but it's clear that they're just catching everyone up and slowing easing onto the pedal. However, good as the episode was, it certainly wasn't "50 percent better than the best episode from last year" Yaitanes pls

And I loved Job's line to Carrie: "I ain't the one shakin off fifteen years of mommy rust." haha

If I may comment on a male's body.. Hood has too much chest hair. Chest hair is good, but not "that" much.

Lots of chest hair is awesome, but it bugs me that he trims it - he should just let it grow wild.

It's a prequel that takes place shortly after Hood was captured by the police 15 years ago. It shows him being interrogated by a cop about his identity and associations with Rabbit, while Racine is observing from behind a two way mirror. It doesn't really tell us anything new, but I thought it was entertaining enough.

The Priest and Brothers are worth watching though for some interesting backstory bits relating to Rabbit's brother.

That was fucking great! We need a gif of (Super Badass OMG Tomahawk Assassin) Nola dodging the flying motorcycle. That entire sequence was just great.

That's really interesting to hear. Thanks for sharing your insight. Did you only work on the first episode or are you in more?

That poor squirrel. :(

Man, I know right?! That was so sad

I worked on several episodes, though I can't remember the exact ones and won't know until they air. I know I did episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, and I believe 7 and 8. It's by far the project I've worked on the most.

There is a lot of awesome stuff coming up and I'm looking forward to reading all the reactions!

I'll post some behind-the-scenes photos I took after the next episode airs.

A bit of a clean up episode after insanity of S1, but I liked it. Really missed those characters.

Great action scene with the robbery. Also, lol...I was wondering how long it will take Hood to score the chief's sister and it happened in premiere :D

still TeamKelly though. Dat sexual tension.

Pretty weak premiere but understandable. They had to deal with a massive amount of fallout from last year's finale while setting things up for the rest of the season.

really disappointed with the opener...

did not contain the tension nor slow burn intensity of Hood that I loved in season 1, the intrigue was missing felt heavy handed

started with the miscast special Agent in charge chain smoking but appearing to me to have been his first pack of cigarettes smoked...went downhill quickly when all of a sudden the gang of four was in some hair brained armed robbery scheme on an "abandoned highway". then conveniently Hood is available next day as Sherriff to be sure his tracks have been covered.... (with verbal notes for those who couldn't figure it out on their own). horrible.

wow... lost the road to what made this good for me ... but I'll still watch

hopefully they recover moving forward but a lot of the tension is gone. should have kept her in her home and family too instead of her re- joining the "gang", if they were going to write an improbable story line

While I agree with opening was weak I think the tension was never meant to last. It can't really since even that'll get boring eventually (See: Homeland). They should have spent more time setting up season two towards the end of season one. This episode definitely felt like some sort of in-between bonus thing to get us ready for season two. It was all re-cap and where/how are they now with what felt like a random robbery to remind us this is an action show.

yea I loved the action in season one but it was smartly written and composed compared to this.

this felt more improbable with less innuendo and more overt irrational action. i.e. don't believe the highway plot, nor that an old bar owner would just jump on into a life of armed robbery, I don't believe they would risk life and limb for multiple bags of money and then abandon all but one when one lone gunman who was being pinned down by fire (from said bar owner) and outnumbered. etc... may sound nit picky but I was like, wtf is this shit Picard.

felt like the whole episode and possibly road for season two was written by completely different people or by committee based off feedback from online posts.

sorry as I said, not hating...loved last season and the characters are there, hopefully they will surprise me going forward.

I personally hope that HoodxCarrie doesn't go anywhere. It would be clichéd and simply hard to believe. They're just not fit to be together anymore.

I'm rooting for HoodxKelly.

The robbery was set up last season though. We saw all the planning, we already knew about the tribe's hidden weapon so the lone gunman wasn't a surprise (to me anyway) and the explanation for the job was the most believable thing this episode - the deva shoplifting subplot in comparison was derisory.

Anyway, I wasn't supposed to be watching the show anyway lol. I'm out

Yeah, I like to think with all the conversations people have been having at Hood, he'll finally be able to move past her. The whole "For a long time all I had was her" is telling.

Did they really just swat off the 'original sheriff body found, Hood's time is up' development like that? No cameras in that place (which would have been, of course, hack by Job)? Too easy and disappointing.

Also, remind me why they are doing robberies again? At least Ana gave some sort of explanation but not sure why the others are still in it and doing one so soon after the events of last season.

I know that the same happened last season, but how seriously can i take or care about Hood's decision to stay because of Ana - because seconds after he says that to the bartender he goes and sleeps with Nola. A man's got needs, but still.

Hood keeps doing robberies because he wants to. Job and Sugar tag along and Ana needs to.

Hood is not staying because of Ana. When Job asks him "What the hell is keeping you here, man ?", the episode cuts to a head shot of Deva.

She's why he's staying.

I agree that the premiere was very slow and far too clipshow-y, but I don't take it as an indication of the pacing to follow. The producers were clearly over-concerned with informing new viewers who are jumping in blind. They can feel free to let loose now, so I'm fairly confident that episode 2 will deliver.

Also, #TeamKelly 4 life.

Nice opener. That was setup episode though.
And Kelly. She's awesome.
For those who concerned about body going away - watch after-credits scene in season 1 episode 10 with real Lucas Hood's son and then Comic Con teaser for season 2, you'll get that it's not over.

Also behind the scenes video of a car chase. Everyone did their stunts by themselves.

While i agree on HoodxCarrie, i don't think it would be in character for Kelly to end up with Hood, after the truth comes out.
She seems like a stand up and strongly moral person.

Unless there is some major character developement, of course.

Edit: Damn, sorry for the DP, Cornballer, i wasn't thinking.

Hood wants the money and stays for his daughter. Job robs because he's a career criminal, hood is like a brother to him, and he wants the money. Sugar wants to get out of Banshee and live the good life. The robbery of the tribe money was gonna happen eventually. They started planing it last season.

Man, hearing the opening theme song felt like I was headed home. So good.

I liked Ivanko as Jim Racine! Dude was hilarious. Hood continues to make poor choices. Banging Native Hitgirl is gonna blow back in his face. Not enough Rebecca. Good amount of Job and Sugar though. Love those two. Too much Dava, that scene was annoying and pointless.

Siobhan should be the endgame for Hood.

Pretty great episode.

Some issues though, I didn't like how they just got rid Hood's body, was hoping they would develop that storyline. Also not sure about Nola just jumping all over Hood at the end, as nice as it was for the milisecond of side boob, it just felt forced...

Apart from that, good episode. The scene where Rebecca's going up the stairs...

Good Lord...
