Pretty great episode.

Some issues though, I didn't like how they just got rid Hood's body, was hoping they would develop that storyline. ...

yes it was almost like watching the storyline they left us with end of last year was being buried to drag out the series longer than they planned due to decent ratings. was another ridiculous moment in direction.

Apart from that, good episode. The scene where Rebecca's going up the stairs...

Good Lord...

Hood's body just felt redudant. I mean, the guy's son already coming to town, so it covers the "somebody will discover he's not real Lucas Hood" angle.

Episode felt rushed and scenes felt stilted. It was solid, but some things could have used more build-up or fleshing out.

Nola is super hot, damn shame they showed nothing. Hopefully they are just teasing for a better scene later on and it isn't a matter of the actress not doing nudity (in which case she's on the wrong show!).

Also...WTF is up with Nola? Sits beside Hood and 5 seconds later she's practically dragging him back to his place? Can one guy be so lucky with women?

Ehm, maybe because Nola is after Hood and tries to get close to him in that way? Hood would be a fool to pass up that opportunity.

That would make more sense, but you'd think they'd allude to it in some way. As far was we know, she's never seen him before and doesn't know who he is.

I heard reports that the Banshee hash tag was still active on Monday, after the free weekend preview.

Speak your voice and email them
http://www.hbo.com/#/about/contact-us.html and choose Other

I watched The Blacklist on NBC last night.. During the opening scene they had a small hashtag with #NBCBlacklist that lasted for only 10 seconds. That's how it should be done! To let the viewer know the situation and then be taken off-screen seconds later.

Here we are, paid subscribers of a premium movie network, Cinemax, and we have to put-up with this #banshee nonsense. The executives over at NBC are smarter than Cinemax when it comes to Twitter hashtags.

Brilliant. I thought it was a bit slow, but that's very much understandable considering the obvious fallout from the season finale. I'm sure the next episodes will be much more frantic.

Here's my email to HBO (Cinemax's owners)

Banshee Twitter hashtags - removal

Hello,

I am a paid subscriber of Cinemax via Dishnetwork. I find it very annoying to have the hashtag "#Banshee" on the screen during the whole episode. Can you guys please remove it?

It's OK to display the hashtag! Just please display the hashtag during the opening scene or the introduction credits only. The viewers will see the hashtag and acknowledge Banshee has a Twitter page and can tweet live.

Season one of Banshee did not have the hashtag on during the whole episode. What changed?

I'd like to hear the reasoning behind this. Please email me back and let me know your thoughts. Thanks
Colin

Going to be so disappointed tonight, with this nonsense on my screen. It's going to take away from the enjoyment of watching the show! My mind is going to be focused on the negative.

Haven't heard back from HBO.. doubt they will email me back regarding a Twitter hashtag.. they have bigger fish to fry :/

Slow, but nice start anyway...got to set things up...just one fight and it was a gunfight but they have to set those fist fights up also I guess lol.

New episode tonight:
The Thunder Man

Spurned by Deva and Gordon, Carrie is forced to take up a new residence. With his leadership abilities questioned by rival George Hunter and the tribal council, Alex ramps up his efforts to recover the money stolen in the casino heist. Siobhan relives a nightmare when her ex-husband, Breece Connors, shows up looking to reconnect. Lucas is asked to return Proctor's favor.

Just marathoned season 1. really like the female lead of this show. haven't seen a strong female that kick ass in an action tv.
they tend to be by the book stuff

I think he's doing a pretty good job considering his character is very much one note. As for Lili/Rebecca, you are damn right. Her build is sinful by itself. That scene at the stairs... Jesus.
I think his face just bothers me. I like Job and Kai too. Wish Sugar had more to do.

He has a very peculiar look, indeed. Like he has some perpetual sad puppy eyes. And all the supporting characters are at very least enjoyable. Sugar's banter with Job is specially amazing. I love those two.

So ridiculous! They even had a full-screen promo credit for the Banshee Twitter information! Why not leave it at that? The whole screen was filled with Twitter information! We don't need a hashtag at the bottom of the screen for 50 minutes!

Yeah this hashtag nonsense is total bullshit. I could kinda understand it last week since it was the premiere and they want people to tweet about it returning, but cmon.

They are even doing a #BansheeOrigins hashtag at certain points too, which covers up even more of the screen.
