I just caught the Batman cartoon on WB after I got home from work this morning. That was seriously some awesome shit. It was the episode where Joker tries to become Batman and then injects Batman with his Joker Poison.

Are all episodes of this cartoon this good? I mean, it was awesome on multiple levels. First off, you've got the whole Joker/Batman yin-yang thing going on. Then you have the mutual respect going on, then the admiration of Batman by Joker... I mean it just had it all going on. And then watching the two fight Penguin was cool too.

Yeah... are all episodes this good? If they are I may seriously have to look into it even more, or even buy it as I did the Gargoyles Season 1.

I just saw parts of it too. I was like: "Damn, that's pretty dark and cool for a Saturday morning cartoon."

I want opinions from the other episodes too!

Well in my opinion.. the show picked up during the season finale of season 1.

There are still some stinkers of episodes and some characters are just.. well too different for my taste... Penguin as a martial arts master? And Joker has already been overexposed in my opinion. And the strongest episodes of the show seem to be the ones related to Clayface or atleast in my opinion.

That was a really great episode of ti, but yeah, it definitely picked up after Season 1. Quality show there, no Batman TAS, but still a good watch:)

Was it really that good? I was watching it for about 10 minutes, but I decided to pop in Ghostbusters instead. I liked the concept of The Joker trying to become Batman, but nothing really caught my attention as I was watching. I did enjoy Bruce laughing at the fact that he would be dying in less than an hour. :lol

Other than that, I've pretty much given up on The Batman. They really need to stop pushing that Batwave crap. And the only designs I like are Batman and Catwoman.

I agree as far as the episodes that did not feaure the most common Batman enemies were considerably better.

Clayface, Manbat, Mr Freeze, even the Mad Hatter.

Clayface and Freeze were especially well done.

The show has a great animation, the fights are pretty cool and that's it. but like someone already said they took to many liberties, batwave signal? the fuck?.... it's is alright to take liberties with the character but if they are gonna do that at least make it interesting. I'm still willing to give the show a shot again because hell Batman is my favorite comic book character.

I've liked the show all the way through. I don't compare it to Batman TAS, because no show I've ever seen will ever compare to it (well, save for Superman/Batman Beyond/JLU. And maybe Early Edition). I just take it for what it is, a slightly different take on the Batman mythos. What I've always liked about this show is the expanded relationship and interaction between Bruce and Alfred. That to me is what drives the show. I'd defintely buy season sets for this show. I think those who wrote it off after five seconds of viewing or whatever should give it a chance. I agree with an earlier comment, the Clayface episodes are the best ones I've seen even though they completely changed his origins.

I watched a couple episodes of this and I hated it. Maybe I'll give it a second chance since so many of you have positive comments.

It seriously was pretty damn dark. When Joker, dressed as Batman, goes to the Comissioner and tells him, "I tried to save your darling wife..." Then runs out the window to have the comissioner follow? Comissioner sees his wife poisoned by the Joker Juice, with that fucked up grin and all...
